DEUX FURIEUSES – When Furious Frustration Becomes A Song…

shoutout

On hearing new single KILL US by politically & socially outspoken, female London-based duo Ros (guitar & vocals) and Vas (drums) the loud line and ireful emotion of an early Public Image Ltd. (John Lydon’s gang) song came to my mind: KEEP BANGING THE DOOR. That’s what deux furieuses did in the past, do now and will do in the future with their cast-iron strokes: banging doors as hard as they can. The doors of inhuman injustice, the doors of political masquerade and the doors of endless war violence. They knock with their bare hands, not with deadly guns. KILL US is born out of frustration and disbelief at the life threatening, violent times we life in. Ros & Vas ventilate their anger via this clenched outburst…

Keep burning down the walls
That put us in our place
I’d rather be happy
Than paint a happy face

I need the recognition
I need the money fast
Still on our fucked up mission
Let’s hope it’s the last

Keep burning down the walls
That put us in our place
They’re fighting with machine guns
We’re fighting with our hands

I’m looking in the mirror
I’m looking in the past
Still keeping faith with my life
But coming down fast

This dream is gonna kill us
This dream is all we have
Still waking up to this dream
This dream is all we have

Keep burning down the walls
That put us in our place
They’re fighting with machine guns
We’re fighting with our hands
