SONOFDOV – American Singer Songwriter With A Touching Spark Of Tristesse…

‘A Low Hush Keel’ by SON OF DOV

Singer-songwriter Dennis King aka SONOFDOV is a passionate singer-songwriter. “Most of the time I’m a walking grammatical canker-soar, a middle-aged Jersey boy with poor posture and DIY stubbornness. I grew up on hand-me-down vinyls and tough-skin jeans, teaching myself two broken chords and how not to play correctly” says the troubadour, born and based in New Jersey, US. His newest musing is a downhearted love ballad. A touching reflection of tristesse. You know, the kind of affecting song you like to hear on your car radio, in the middle of the night, when the world is asleep and the sound of silence takes over. Here’s some special soul music…

.
He’s standing on the corner with a suitcase in his hand

Chorus:
In a low light I see a flicker in her eyes tell me
there’s a heart that won’t let go
please don’t lose control.

She’s standing light a statue in the middle of the road
dreaming how it was and never letting go.
But darkness is the devil and the devil was her friend
she made a final deal, now she can live again.

Chorus:
In a low light I see a flicker in her eyes tell me
there’s a heart that won’t let go
please don’t lose control.

I wish you all the best, the best that you can find
a moment in “mercy” on a long beatin’ line.
but the sickness came fast and stole my only love
brought me to my knees “The Killer Above”
brought me to me knees “The Killer…..

Chorus:
In a low light I see a flicker in her eyes tell me
there’s a heart that won’t let go
please don’t lose control.
please don’t lose control
please don’t lose control
