On 16 January 1988, 32 years ago today GEORGE HARRISON topped the US singles
chart with ‘GOT MY MIND SET ON YOU’. It was actually a cover from a song written in 1962 and recorded by James Ray, an African American R&B singer whose other great hit ‘If You Gotta Make a Fool of Somebody was covered by The Beatles at their early gigs and Ronnie Wood included his version of this track on his solo debut LP.
