Mega-stars BLONDIE topped the US Singles Chart with
RAPTURE, this day in 1981, and stayed there for 2 weeks.

It was the band’s 4th number-one in America and the first No. 1 song
in the US to feature rap and its lyrics, notable for name-checking hip-hop
pioneers Fab Five Freddy and Grandmaster Flash.
