1980 was the year (18 May) that IAN CURTIS, the both charismatic and troubled frontman/lyricist of Manchester’s eternal post-punk heroes Joy Division committed suicide following mental health problems and psychically suffering from epilepsy.

He was only 23. Curtis and the band are still a huge influence to this day for countless artists/band. He lives on in many hearts of thousands of fans. Rest in peace.
