Wolverhampton’s glam rockers SLADE fronted by loudmouth
Noddy Holder (now aged 77), were a massive hit machine back in
the early seventies with 17 consecutive top 20 hits and six number
ones on the UK Singles Chart.

One of those number 1’s was COZ I LUV YOU, with great violin
play by Jimmy Lea, that topped the charts this day in 1971.
