greatly accomplished career under the name of The Staple Singers (1948-1994).
She’s 86 now, singing and swinging like a 36-year-old.

Album Tracks That Should Be Singles – TITLE TRACK Of The New PORTUGAL. THE MAN Full-Length

12 November 2025

Promo pic

Band: PRTUGAL. THE MAN
Who: American alt-rockers, fronted by mastermind
John Gourley, formed in 2004 in Wasilla, Alaska and
based in Portland, Oregon.

Last weekend, they released their 10th LP, baptized SHISH.

Glide Magazine says: “Shish is yet another awe-inspiring effort from Gourley and his Portugal. The Man project turned out to be some of the most honest, refreshing music
the artist has added to his discography in some time. These ten songs pinpoint the exact time and space Gourley is currently in, and turn his point of view into relatable slices of daring, artistic indie rock.”

The album was preceded by two singles, Tanana and Denali.

If the band consider dropping a third single from the LP, it should definitely be
the title track, SHISH. Its repetitive, groovy swagger is just irresistible. Check it out
here.

Tracks From New Albums That Should Have Been Singles – Epic Pearl ‘KRAKEN’ By FLORENCE + THE MACHINE

5 November 2025

FLORENCE + THE MACHINE started as a band in 2007, and
became, over the years, the musical vehicle for British songstress
Florence Welch.

Last weekend her album No. 6, named EVERBODY SCREAM
came out to euphoric critics all around.

It features several stand-out tracks, including the 3 singles,
Everybody Scream, Sympathy Magic and One Of The Greats.

My non-single favorite is KRAKEN. A mini rock opera
chant, with a grand big choir chorus. An epic pearl.
