archives will be part of an EP called Is It Any Wonder? out next month. So far
three tracks were revealed: The Man Who Sold The World (ChangesNowBowie
version), I Can’t Read 97 (the original version was on first Tin Machine album)
and Stay 97 (the original version was on Station To Station LP)

Today we can listen to the fourth track. The original version BABY UNIVERSAL ’97

GREG DULLI Shares New Melancholic Track From Debut Solo LP – Here’s ‘IT FALLS APART’…

New sonic impulses

30 January 2020

GREG DULLI, frontman for years of The Afghan Whigs and Twilight Singers will release his debut solo album RANDOM DESIRE on 21st February. More info here. A longplayer
he wrote after the death of Afghan Whigs guitarist Dave Rosser.

Last December Dulli released the flaming lead single Pantomima and now here’s a second cut. IT FALLS APART is a melancholic meditation that sounds vulnerable and ghostly. Here’s the audio clip (with lyrics)…

And here is the flashy clip for lead single Pantomima. Dulli said that “the video
is an homage to the movie All That Jazz. Pantomima feels like a show tune to me.”

NOEL GALLAGHER Still Has His Dancing Shoes On – Here’s New Vibey Single ‘BLUE MOON RISING’…

New sonic impulses

30 January 2020

NOEL GALLAGHER and his HIGH FLYING BIRDS released their new single
BLUE MOON RISING‘ today. It’s the title track off a new EP, out on 6th March.

Gallagher about the new single: “How it manages to combine the influences of Metallica,
The Jesters Of Malice, Mantovani, Robinson Crusoe as well as Bob Marley AND The Wailers
is literally beyond me… oh, and it’s not about City
(note: the football club) by the way.”

With ‘Blue Moon Rising‘ Noel Gallagher continues his appetite for dancey tunes
which started with his previous EP ‘This Is The Place‘. To my ears the new track
has a sort of moody Chemical Brothers beat and turns brighter along its vibey way.

Move to the beat right here…

Psych Noir Rockers MAYFLOWER MADAME Dropped Lead Single From New Upcoming Album – Here’s ‘VULTURES’…

Daily fuel to load your sonic batteries…

30 January 2020

Band: MAYFLOWER MADAME

Who: A band from Norway known for its signature mesh of post-punk, dark psychedelia, shoegaze and indie rock. For fans of The Soft Moon, Joy Division, The Black Angels, Jesus & Mary Chain, Psychic Ills, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and The Velvet Underground

Track: VULTURES – the lead single from their second LP, titled ‘Prepared For A Nightmare‘, out next month via Only Lover Records. The song “is about desire, gluttony and vanity,
both on a personal level and as a general symptom of the excesses of modern society. However, there’s a sense of both doom and revival in there. It’s partly inspired by the art of George Grosz and Hieronymus Bosch.”

Score: After a gloomy psych guitar intro this inflammable crackerjack turns immediately into a propelled rocker with a hammering beat, a burning force, a tenebrous tension and a cutting chorus. Midway the tempo goes down shortly for a sparky guitar/bass duet, but the pulsating drum dynamism pushes the darksome commotion back to its swirling pace. Top!

Catch the feverish drive right here…
