heartfelt lyrics and an energetic sound.

Track: IBIZA 98 – first track from their upcoming EP called ‘Not A Prison, It’s A Prism‘,

realise what they have…not once but repeatedly… like an addiction.

Score: This ardent song’s passion is intense and hot-blooded with frontman Matt
McGowan
elevating this stirring eruption to an aroused level. The profound emotions swing forth and back, so does the band’s feverish sonority. From tranquil and bluesy
sensibility to vigorous and fortissimo sequences. You’ll be out of breath in the end.

Dream Pop Act REMINGTON SUPER 60 Releases ‘NEW EP’ – Romanticism Wrapped In Six Lyrical Musings…

New sonic impulses

29 January 2020

REMINGTON SUPER 60 is a dream pop act hailing from Fredrikstad in Norway, founded by the group’s songwriter and bedroom producer Christoer Schou in 1998 with a few lineup changes along the way. Over the years several albums and EPS were released on various indie labels around the world. The sound has gone back and forward but was/is always been inspired by Shou’s musical heroes such as Burt Bacharach, Brian Wilson, Stereolab,
The Velvet Underground, High Llamas, Cornelius, Yo La Tengo
& Eggstone.

If you want to get away from the daily rush and pressure, if you want to relax for a while and drift away from reality than NEW EP is the ideal partner. It’s romanticism, with its ups and downs, wrapped in six lyrical musings (including one charming instrumental) with the near whispering and sensual voice of vocalist Elisabeth Thorsen having a soothing effect on your mood and your spirit. The overall musical tone of the EP is tranquilizing, tender, dreamy and feels like a sort of zen experience. Soft, idyllic guitar melancholy, warm and smooth synths, a delightful and elegant resonance and subtle, bewitching arrangements.

Sit down, dim the lights, close your eyes and drift away, it’s cheaper than therapy…

Discover Fervent All Wave Band KORINTHIANS And Their Multi-Faceted Debut Album ‘CHAOS CONTROL’

28 January 2020

Band: KORINTHIANS

Who: A Ghent, Belgium based foursome, a self-proclaimed post-wave
band blending 80s melancholy with 90s anger. So far they released
one EP Olympus and a single AWWW.

Album: CHAOS CONTROL – the band’s debut LP

Released: 19 December 2019

Sound: You’ll hear echoes of post-punk, new wave, darkwave, synth-pop and several other past and present alternative influences. But in the end all these sonic genres don’t mean a damn thing if you don’t have the talent to write killer tracks and catchy knockout tunes. And that’s what these four misfits exactly do. From synth and percussion-driven danceable rockers ‘Aura H671‘ and ‘Icarus Airlines’ to amplified disco stompers ‘Beat’ and ‘A Way With Words‘, from firm, moody and atmospheric introspections ‘Wave‘ and ‘You And Island‘ to an energetic cover of Joy Division‘s ‘A Means To An End’. This is a rock and synth-pop symphonic orchestra with an impressive singer and multiple crackers on their debut. If you really want to label this foursome, file them under All Wave.
