Dream Pop Act REMINGTON SUPER 60 Releases ‘NEW EP’ – Romanticism Wrapped In Six Lyrical Musings…

New sonic impulses

29 January 2020

REMINGTON SUPER 60 is a dream pop act hailing from Fredrikstad in Norway, founded by the group’s songwriter and bedroom producer Christoer Schou in 1998 with a few lineup changes along the way. Over the years several albums and EPS were released on various indie labels around the world. The sound has gone back and forward but was/is always been inspired by Shou’s musical heroes such as Burt Bacharach, Brian Wilson, Stereolab,
The Velvet Underground, High Llamas, Cornelius, Yo La Tengo
& Eggstone.

If you want to get away from the daily rush and pressure, if you want to relax for a while and drift away from reality than NEW EP is the ideal partner. It’s romanticism, with its ups and downs, wrapped in six lyrical musings (including one charming instrumental) with the near whispering and sensual voice of vocalist Elisabeth Thorsen having a soothing effect on your mood and your spirit. The overall musical tone of the EP is tranquilizing, tender, dreamy and feels like a sort of zen experience. Soft, idyllic guitar melancholy, warm and smooth synths, a delightful and elegant resonance and subtle, bewitching arrangements.

Sit down, dim the lights, close your eyes and drift away, it’s cheaper than therapy…
