Zestful French foursome MNNQNS is a French band with roots in Cardiff, Wales. They earned themselves an acclaimed live reputation over the years, released some singles
and are now gearing up to release their debut album ‘BODY NEGATIVE‘ on 11th October. Ahead of it here’s stormy single ‘FALL DOWN‘. A whirling rocker with terrifically energetic guitars, a relentless bass/drum beat, feverish vocals and a protrusive chorus. Hot-driving stroke all the way!
There she goes
There she goes again
Racing through’ my brain
And I just can’t contain
This feelin’ that remains
There she blows
There she blows again
Pulsing through my vein
And I just can’t contain
This feelin’ that remains
There she goes, there she goes again
She calls my name, pulls my train
No one else could heal my pain
But I just can’t contain
This feelin’ that remains
There she goes
There she goes again
Chasing down my lane
And I just can’t contain
This feelin’ that remains
There she goes (x3)

Band: The Rolling Stones Song: Street Fighting Man Released: 31 August 1968 – 51 years ago today Album: Beggars Banquet Note: Mick Jagger wrote the song after he attended a massive 1968 anti-war demonstration at London’s US embassy. The single wasn’t a hit due to the fact
that many radio stations refused to play it because of its political content. Talking
about ignoring the freedom of speech! And the dictatorial boycot still goes on today
in bloody 2019. It’s even far worse, isn’t it Boris ‘Let’s Shut Up Parliament’ Johnson?…
Edinburgh born artist GARETH SAGER‘s CV is quite impressive: multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter, classical music composer, a founding member of funky post-punk
junks The Pop Group, jazzy avant-garde combo Rip Rig + Panic, Bristol rockers Head
and countless collaborations. After his gracious 2017 classical piano LP 88 Tuned Dreams he gathered a kooky gang called THE HUNGRY GHOSTS and released the gloriously wacky album Juicy Rivers last year.
A couple of weeks ago one of the albums’ most accessible, sensible and gripping tracks ST. JOCK was released as a single plus two bonus tracks. It’s a both poignant and charming contemplation about the late Scottish poet Jock Scott.
Sager explains: “St. Jock isn’t directly a homage to Jock Scot though does try to express his
spirit in the sense that he was very honest about his failings, which appeared to occur much more than his successes; like most of us! Though there is a reference to a girlfriend of his whose favourite past time was to tile! Apart from that the song contains the most difficult first line to sing ever: “She wears a white, red wine stained smock”.

Living legend NEIL YOUNG (73) teamed up with long-time Crazy Horse friends, bassist Billy Talbot (75), drummer Ralph Molina (74), and old pal, amazing guitarist Nils Lofgren (who played with Bruce Springsteen for several years), who, at 68, returned to recording with Young nearly 50 years after he began. The quartet locked themselves up in a studio
in the mountains of Telluride, Colorado last April. The result is a new album titled simply ‘COLORADO’. The 10-song LP will be out in October and a documentary about the LP’s creation, titled Mountaintop Sessions, will be released alongside it.
Here’s the lead single ‘MILKY WAY‘. A shadowy love song reminding me for some reasons of Young‘s 1975 pitch-black masterpiece Tonight’s The Night because of its ramshackle, basic, nostalgic and raw tone, yet here’s a spark of hope to feel free. Capture the mood here…
London’s psychedelic shoegaze duo BLACK DOLDRUMS will launch their new EP ‘SHE DIVINE’ on 6th September. Ahead of it the pair already shared its evocative and high-poweredtitle track.
And now a second track of the EP is revealed. ‘MAE’S DESIRE‘ is a haunting stonker that thunders non-stop, pushed by bloodthirsty drums and echoing guitar flamboyance. Its stormy pace and bewitching impact will mess up your hungry mind the way you like it, both disturbing and bizarrely attractive. This is another winner. Check out the fever right here…
