London’s steamy punk rock witches DREAM NAILS return with their second rip-roaring single from their upcoming debut album. ‘TEXT ME BACK (CHIRPSE DEGREE BURNS)’
was actually released a year ago as a live acoustic track, but it got so much love that the band decided to record a proper studio version.
The inflammable ripper is about “the gut-wrenching feeling of checking your phone every 5 minutes to see if your crush has replied. It’s a song about being a sane, rational human being UNTIL the person you can’t stop thinking about just doesn’t reply to your messages.”

The manic energy just explodes in your face from the very start. It sounds like if our riot grrrl turbo is on the verge of a nervous breakdown due to communication addiction. I’m sure many of you out there know the sick-making feeling of… GETTING NO REPLY ON YOUR TEXT MESSAGES. It raises your blood pressure, it makes you furiously angry and is
a direct and savage attack on your nerves. So what have we learned today: texting is toxic for your mental health and who needs a Bikini Kill reunion when you have Dream Nails.
Scream along right here…

One more message from the ladies: “For those born beyond the M25, ‘chirpse’ is London slang for flirting and ‘chirpse degree burns’ is our personal slang for the injuries borne from romantic misadventure.”
