The BLACK CROWES Brothers Released A Reunion Film Called ‘BROTHERS OF A FEATHER’

10 July 2021

Band: THE BLACK CROWES
Who: Americana blues rockers from Marietta, Georgia
with the Robinson brothers as the key members.
Active: 1984–2002, 2005–2015, 2019–present / 8 studio albums.

Brothers Chris and Rich Robinson used to fight each other regularly
back in the aftermath of THE BLACK CROWES‘s most successful years,
with jealousy and envy as the key causes.

Rich about the feud: “I couldn’t abide the demand of my brother to give up
my equal share of the band and that our drummer for 28 years and original
partner, Steve Gorman, relinquish 100 percent of his share, reducing him to
a salaried employee”.

Debut LP ‘Shake Your Money Maker

But the brothers made peace a few years back. And now they released a
movie to celebrate the band’s 2020 reunion for the 30th birthday of their
debut album Shake Your Money Maker in a movie called Brothers Of
A Feather
via The Coda Collection, Amazon’s prime’s streaming video
channel.

Here’s the trailer

Press statement about the movie: “Never seen in full, Brothers Of A Feather captures Black Crowes founders Chris and Rich Robinson performing as a duo at an intimate, sold-out concert from San Francisco on March 6, 2020 — about a week before the pandemic shutdown.

One of my favorite Black Crowes rockers (the lead single from that debut album)…
