Image Of The Day – ELVIS 10,000 YEARS OLD
Today 55 years ago, on 7 January 1971, The King released his 13th LP, titled ELVIS COUNTRY ((I’m 10,000 Years Old).
To be honest, he looks a bit younger on that album cover.

I wonder if they walk the streets dressed like this.
Last month, on November 20th, bass player Gary Mounfield, better known as MANI, of British swagger legends The Stone Roses (authors of one of the best debut LPs ever with their self-titled album in 1989), passed away peacefully in his sleep due to respiratory issues linked to long-standing lung condition emphysema.
Now the band’s guitarist John Squire, who is also a painter, and previously
created the cover artwork for Stone Roses‘ singles and their 2 albums, has
crafted a new work to honor his unfortunate friend.
The new canvas design consists of numerous squares, painted in different
colours. They feature the letters of Mani’s name, interspersed with some stars.
American pop punk fury THE DARTS are one of my favourite live bands of
the past decade. Their sultry, inflammable gigs are an exciting pleasure for
ears and eyes.
They always have eye-catching posters to announce their
shows. Like this one for 4 gigs in Hawaii early next year.
