Alain Quateau en Renilde Gees
Press info: Alain Quateau, once a member of The Paranoid Polaroids, decided one day to build his own studio. As a producer, he had the pleasure of working with many bands and talented artists, but one encounter left a lasting impression: the one with Renilde Gees.
Now, thirty years later, she unexpectedly contacted him again to record some tracks.
He knew immediately that he had found a kindred spirit in her. The name Lost in September refers to their shared love of melancholy and imagination.
A couple of weeks ago the duo launched their magnific debut single
Dreams. An endearing, heartrending and sepia-coloured musing.
And the follow-up just hit our headphones. WHAT IF I TOLD YOU is an equally soothing reverie, a reflective song “about slowing down. About realizing that happiness often hides in memories.
Sit down, relax, give your busy mind a day off and let your ears dream away.

Former talking heads chief DAVID BYRNE and Paramore‘s voice/face
HAYLEY WILLIAMS are mutual fans, working together now and then,
and covering each other’s songs.
Busy bee Byrne wrote several songs for a new animated musical
adaptation of Roald Dahl’s The Twitts. It premieres on Oct 17th.
One of the songs is a duet with, yes, you already guessed, Williams.
It’s named OPEN THE DOOR. It’s a jaunty and frolicsome pop tune.
Perfect for a snoozy Sunday.

Who: Singer-songwriter from Nashville who played in
a couple of local bands and who’s on a journey of his
own now.
Track: EXTINGUISH THE FLAME
Collins: “This song is a nuanced recounting and reexamination, and a plea for both reckoning and reconciliation, and furthermore a realization that the twin flame myth is a limiting belief system that robs us of sole ownership of the individually unique searing soul each of us possess and are here to share. There are most definitely sacred mirror humans that reflect things back to us that help us learn, but our light activation burns from the inside out, not outside in.”
This stripped to the bone, acoustic musing is a soul-stirring introspection.

Nebraska‘s pop/rock trio BRIGHT EYES, formed and conducted
by singer-songwriter Conor Oberst released their top-shelf
11th album, named Five Dice, All Threes, last year.
The trio are in a productive flow. They have canned an
8-track EP now, titled Kids Table. It’s out on Sept 26.
A month ago we got the first track with the ska-juiced tune 1st World Blues.
The 2nd preview DYSLEXIC PALINDROME is a country-tinted musing,
perfect for Oberst characteristic melancholic voice. It features vocalist and
songwriter Alynda Segarra from Americana band Hurrah For The Riff Raff.
Oberst: “Alynda Segarra is one of the most soulful people I have ever encountered.
Everything that passes through them is haunted by the weary ghost of American music
past. I have had the good fortune of recording and performing with them on many occasions and I am always blown away by Alynda’s ability to channel what is both intangible and universal.

Rock family Kings Of Leon took mega famous
country star Zach Bryan along on their latest
tour.
It led to a collaboration in the studio.
Early August, they shared a song named Bowery
credited to Zach Bryan featuring Kings Of Leon.
And now a 2nd song, We’re Onto Something, just went online,
this time credited to the Kings Of Leon featuring Zach Bryan.
Enjoy the soulful warmth of this sweet little tune.
