Irish eccentric, utterly cool prima donna CMAT (Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson) has
a new video clip out for last year’s hit single THE JAMIE OLIVER PETROL STATION, remarkable for her vocal tour de force on it, and it features none other than the cook himself.
The song is an astounding standout from last year’s EURO-COUNTRY album, her third. CMAT said at the time that, contrary to what it may sound like, the track was a love song for the star chef Jamie Oliver.

FLORENCE + THE MACHINE , is the moniker for singer/songwriter Florence Welch
who started the project back in 2007 with keyboardist Isabella Summers who actually was the architect of F+TM’s sound, and guitarist Rob Ackroyd, drummer Christopher Lloyd Hayden and harpist Tom Monger. For several years the act is centred around Welch.
This Friday album No. 6, named Everybody Scream will be released.
But first, we get titillating taster number three SYMPATHY MAGIC.
Welch co-wrote and produced the song with two very different collaborators,
the National’s Aaron Dessner and lauded dance-pop adventurer Danny L. Harle.
The result is a juggernaut of an orchestral pop saga.
The accompanying video will impress your eyes.
At the very start you’ll see Welch bare naked from the back for 5 seconds.
So it’s marked as age-restricted. OMG. All over the Internet media show horrible images/video’s from the wars in Gaza and Ukraine on a daily basis, without any
age-restriction. As usual hypocrisy rules.
Isle Of Wight (UK) pop sensation WET LEG, Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers,
attracted tons of attention with their prizewinning self-titled debut LP from
2022 and with this year’s magnolious follow-up Moisturizer, they earned star
status
To keep the momentum going and in time for Halloween, the duo just shared
a creepy video for MANGETOUT, one of the album’s uplifting highlights.
“In amidst of touring we decided to make a music video for ‘mangetout’.
We started shooting the video at home on the Isle of Wight and then
collected more shots on the road in between sound checks and stage
times.”
This year legendary American late-night live sketch comedy, variety and
music show Saturday Night Life celebrates its 50th season on the telly.
A couple of weeks ago they broadcasted a nearly three-and-a-half-hour live concert with
a cast of big names such as Lady Gaga, Eddie Vedder, Miley Cyrus, David Byrne, Backstreet Boys, Devo and many more, with most of them performing a cover of a classic cracker
from the past 50 years.
Also on the show were original Nirvana heroes Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic who played,
with fabulous rapper Post Malone behind the mic, the grunge giants’s immortal classic Smells Like Teen Spirit (more than 2 billion streams on Spotify).
An official video of that dumbfounded performance is now here for you to see.
Darkwave pop titans DEPECHE MODE are playing the last concert
of their almost 2-year-running tour of bringing last year’s album Memento Mori to the people, tomorrow in Germany.
For the occasion, they offer all fans a new video for the LP’s track PEOPLE ARE GOOD and no less than 5 remixes of the song.
BILLY JOEL, the world famous songsmith who recorded/released 13 albums between
1971 and 2001 and scored giant hits such as Uptown Girl, Piano Man, We Didn’t Start The
Fire and Goodnight Saigon released a new single, titled TURN THE LIGHTS BACK ON
a couple of weeks ago. His first new music in 17 years.
The song is a beautifully orchestrated piano-driven ballad you can file between
the past with Harry Nilsson and the present with John Father Misty who is a big Nilsson fan himself.
A new spectacular clip for the song is online now.
The video is directed by Warren Fu and Freddy Wexler. It uses groundbreaking AI technology, to go through the BJ ages. From the early seventies Piano Man Joel, to
the all bushy-haired and befogged with cigarettes, to late eighties Storm Front Joel,
to the present-day Joel. The 4 Joels all sing the song together in a montage at the end.
Liam: “I think John’s a top songwriter. Everyone always bangs on about him as a guitarist,
but he’s a top songwriter too, man, no two ways about it as far as I’m concerned. There’s not enough of his music out there, whether it’s with the Roses or himself. It’s good to see him back writing songs and fucking good ones. The melodies are mega and then the guitars are a given. But I think even when you take all the fucking guitars off, you can play the songs all on acoustic and they’ll all still blow your mind.”
The fab Mancunians shared the 2nd, easygoing and gluey
single MARS TO LIVERPOOL a couple of weeks ago.
Last October, the masked synth punk schizophrenics
released their 3rd album, titled Play Cobra. Stream below.
TUTV said about the LP: “Sounds like a diabolic Doomsday soundtrack to my bewildered ears. Well, if we all have to go one day why not with this Götterdämmerung opus. If you like, FRONT 242, NIN, Ministry, The Young Gods and Cabaret Voltaire you need to add Play Cobra to your record collection.”
They now have a video clip out for one of the album’s
highlights, closing cut SOME OPEN HAND CUES.
PM dazzle their way through the track with cake, sparklers,
choreographed dancing, and AI-metamorphosis.
Darkwave pop Goths DEPECHE MODE released their new LP – their 15th – named MEMENTO MORI last March and they toured since then around the world and they

one of the fans’ favourite tracks off the LP.
