COURTNEY BARNETT & SLEATER-KINNEY & FRED ARMISEN Get Physical

To honor OLIVIA NEWTON JOHN, who passed away on 8 August
at the age of 73, following along severe battle against breast cancer,
veteran Riot Grrls Sleater-Kinney, Aussie songstress Courtney Barnett
and American actor/comedian Fred Armisen teamed up at a festival
in Marymoor Park in Redmond, Washington, a couple of days ago.

They performed her massive 1981 hit PHYSICAL. It became a lively celebration
of the late superstar. Almost everybody with hairbands (as in Olivia’s sweaty video
of back then). S-K’s Corin Tucker did the vocals and the ONJ gym dance with
Fred Armisen.

Watch the wonderfully fun tribute here…

COURTNEY BARNETT On American TV

Australian songstress COURTNEY BARNETT released her,
critically acclaimed, third LP Things Take Time, Take Time
last year.

One of the tracks is a simple ditty, titled BEFORE YOU GOTTA GO
It’s so sickly sticky that I played it about a hundred times so far.

This week she played it live on the American TV Show ‘CBS Saturday Sessions’

Sing along, whistle along, hum along…

“Before you gotta go, I wanted you
to know, you’re always on my mind.”
