You got to roll with the punches to get to what’s real”

Masterly drummer GINGER BAKER (born Peter Edward Baker in London) passed away
on 6 October 2019, at the age of 80, following heart surgery and a terrible fall. He’s best know as member of the three-star rock band Cream which only lasted for 2 years (1966-1968).
Baker melted jazz and African rhythms and pioneered both jazz fusion and world
music. He hated to be called ‘rock drummer’. Following the split of Cream he drummed
with supergroup Blind Faith, formed his own act called Ginger Baker’s Air Force, and collaborated with multiple artists.
It includes a 7″ with two previously unreleased tracks of which
you can hear OCEANS OF DARKNESS here. A zealous roller.

Band: PLASMAS Who: Up and coming indie 4-piece
from Dundee, Scotland.
Single: WHAT YOU DO TO ME
A cut from their upcoming debut EP ‘A Summer’s Day Can Break Your Heart’, out 21 October.
Ross McQueen (singer/songwriter) “This is pretty hard for me to talk about, but I wrote this song about having feelings for another guy, and not knowing how to deal with it. It’s about the guilt that came with it and being unsure where I fit in amongst society. I had always considered myself straight and didn’t really feel like I could exist in any LGBTQ+ spaces. I felt like an imposter. I just remember being so confused, there was this social commentary screaming “be yourself” and “be open about your sexuality” all over the place and I just thought, “what if I can never be like that?”. ”
The track is a fuzzy, feel-good indie anthem – think The Jesus and Mary Chain in
a happy mood – that nods to shoegaze greats past while shooting for the moon
on a synth-powered rocket.
