Bristol’s power punks IDLES unleash their third longplayer ULTRA MONO
on 25th September. So far we could pogo to riff crazy ripper MR. MOTIVATOR
and firm uppercut GROUNDS.
Third piece A HYMN is another winner. A slow-moving ominous groove that feels
like it will explode any second, but doesn’t. Like a fierce volcano about to spew lava,
but for some reason keeps quiet in the end. The tension is almost unbearable. Another topnotch stroke! Idles keep on delivering soul-stirring thrills.
No better way to knock Mondays in the face than with Bristol’s punk force IDLES.
The fierce hit team announced their third album a few weeks ago. ULTRA MONO
will be out on 25th September.

Bristol’s power punks IDLES just announced their third album called ULTRA MONO,
out 25th September. Last month they unleashed riff crazy track Mr. Motivator, a
strong contender for single of the year. And here’s a new firm uppercut.
Frontman Joe Talbot says about GROUNDS: ““We wanted to write a song that embodied self-belief, and gave us self-belief — a counter-punch to all the doubt we build up from all the noise we so easily let in. We wanted to make the sound of our own hearts’ marching band, armed with a jackhammer and a smile. We wanted to make the sound of our engine starting. So we did. Thank you.”
A maddening cocktail of roaring rippers and sassy strokes.

to not only encapsulate the album’s sentiment, but to encourage our audience to dance like no one is watching and plough through these dark times with a two ton machete of a song and the most beautiful community of scumbags ever assembled. Let’s go. All is love.”
