NORAH JONES And JOSH HOMME Cover FRANK And NANCY SINATRA

9 February 2026

10-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter NORAH JONES
has a very popular podcast, named Norah Jones Is Playing Along.

Recently, she invited Josh Homme, frontman
of Queens of the Stone Age, as her special guest.

The two celebs traded insights and stories about their diverse careers and
creative processes. They also played some songs together, including a cover
of Somethin’ Stupid, the timeless 1967 hit (more than 524 million streams
on Spotify) by Frank Sinatra and his daughter Nancy, with Jones on piano
and Homme on acoustic guitar.

The full episode will air tomorrow, but we already can
see/hear them perform the cover. Quite special.

One Sonic Summer Booster A Day Keeps Insanity Away – Today: IGGY POP’s Unsatiable Lust For Life

2 August 2025

Back in 2016 the indestructible Godfather of punk IGGY POP (now aged 78) released
his 17th album, named Post Pop Depression, produced by Queens Of The Stone Age‘s mastermind Josh Homme, who also played on some tracks, something Dean Fertita (also from QOTSA) and Arctic Monkeys‘s drummer Matt Helders did too.

With those guys Pop performed on the British Later With Jools Holland show that year to promote the album. Besides a couple of new ones they also, of course, played this classic.

See you on Monday at Lokerse Feesten Belgium,
Mister Pop with some other punk oldtimers.

A Motherfucker Of A Slam Dunk – ROYAL BLOOD Share Hammer ‘BOILERMAKER’

Daily electricity to load your batteries…

13 April 2021

Brighton’s mean rock machine ROYAL BLOOD unleash their new, third, album
TYPHOONS on 30 April. They made us ears go gaga with 3 hammer blows earlier
on, and here’s number four. Holy Moly! What a motherfucker of a slam dunk.

They already played BOILERMAKER at a couple of festivals back in 2019, making
their fans beg to record and release the haymaker. And the pair listened and invited Queens Of The Stone Age mastermind Josh Homme to produce the insane-riff bastinado (and, yes, he left his characteristic stoner rock mark). And the video clip is awesome too.

You know what to do.
Turn up the volume…
