Many people only know them for their heavy-hearted single
Drive (more than 218.000.000 streams on Spotify) after it was
played, between the live performances, on the massive Live Aid
event-broadcast in 1985.

After releasing their successful single MY BEST FRIEND’S GIRL (from
their self-titled debut LP) on 7″ vinyl in October 1978 THE CARS issued
the very same single as the first official picture disc ever in music history
the next month, on 11 November, 43 years ago today…
