THE OFFSPRING In Overdrive On New Breakneck Track From Their Upcoming 11th LP – Hear Steamroller ‘LIGHT IT UP’ Here

Daily noise that works faster than a stream of caffeine

2 August 2024

Imperishable Californian punks THE OFFSPRING
are kicking ass for 40 years now, and no signs of
retirement. On the contrary.

As communicated a couple of weeks ago, their 11th LP,
baptized Supercharged will see the day of light on
October 11th.

Following explosive lead single Make It All Right the band go
in overdrive on new head-over-heels steamroller LIGHT IT UP.

Dexter Holland (frontman): “This song is a full speed ahead juggernaut. This character in the song is fed up, he’s had enough, and he’s gonna light it up. He’s ready for a fight. And I definitely sense a lot of that around me. Growing up, some of my favorite songs were by punk bands that were just like, “I’m sick of your shit.” And that was ok! It wasn’t like a negative thing to have those feelings and express that.”

Start it up.

THE OFFSPRING Are Still Supercharged After 40 Years – Hear Their New Hymaker ‘MAKE IT ALL RIGHT’

Daily noise that works faster than a stream of caffeine

9 June 2024

Californian veteran punks THE OFFSPRING
started producing lots of decibels 40 years (!)
ago, and they’re not done yet.

They just announced the upcoming birth of their
11th album, named SUPERCHARGED. It’ll be out
on October 11th.

Dexter Holland (frontman): “We wanted this record to have pure energy — from the start
to the finish! That’s why we called it SUPERCHARGED. From the height of our aspirations to the depths of our struggles, we talk about it all on this record… in a way that celebrates the life that we share and where we are now.

Our single ‘Make It All Right’ is a great example of this because it talks about the people in our lives who make us feel strong when we are feeling low – our partners in crime who make us feel all right.I feel like this is the best we have ever sounded!” enthused Holland. “We’ve been rocking out and headbanging to it for months! And we can’t wait for you guys to hear it!”

The first single MAKE IT ALL RIGHT is a jump-up-and-down
and pump-your-fists haymaker that reminds you of, yes,
The Offspring.

Impotent Veterans – Here’s THE OFFSPRING With Brand New Single ‘WE NEVER HAVE SEX ANYMORE’

7 April 2021

Californian mainstream punks THE OFFSPRING pick of the day? Seriously? Oh yeah,
for two reasons. One: when I heard their new single WE NEVE HAVE SEX ANYMORE
for the first time I couldn’t but think: ‘Oh My, the old motherrockers became impotent after
all these years of tons of sex, drugs and rock and roll
.” Laughter all the way. Two: musically the song sounds like a sad (I told you why) lullaby with heavy guitars. A tearjerker, right? Yep, a comic one.

I hope you’ll have as much fun as I had…

First Christmas Carol Screw-Up Comes From Californian Fake Punks THE OFFSPRING

5 November 2020

It’s early November and the first Christmas carol cover screw-up is in.

Awful, really awful.

THE OFFSPRING is one of those bands that you think are retired for ages
until they come up, out of the blue, with the worst thing they ever have done.

I thought these fake Californian punks called it a day years ago (their last album
Days Go By came out in 2012). But the buffoons decided that it’s time for a comeback,
with a Xmas cover of a 1963 holiday carol called Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)
by Darlene Love.

Why? “It just seemed like the world could use a nice holiday song right now. Hope you enjoy
our take on ‘Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)’we tried not to wreck it!
” said the band in
a statement. That’s exactly what they did, they wrecked this soulful humdinger big time.

Listen at your own risk…

The real thing
