WHITE LIES Announce New Album And Share Riveting Title Track ‘AS I TRY NOT TO FALL APART’

New sonic strokes

27 September 2021

Band: WHITE LIES
Who: Famed indie band from Ealing, London, UK
Active: Since 2007 / 6 studio albums (including new one)

New album: AS I TRY NOT TO FALL APART
Release: 18th February 2022
Order-info: here

New single: AS I TRY NOT TO FALL APART – title track

The band: “We wrote this song really quickly, late one night and often
the songs that come quickest are written from the gut and the heart. We
wanted the melody to feel like a hymn, to give the confessional lyrics weight
despite being wrapped up as a pop song. It’s about accepting vulnerability
as a man and knowing it’s OK to be broken. There’s never been a more
pressing time to spread the message that it’s OK to not be OK.”
.”

The new piece is a moody electro earworm,
bringing Editors to mind. Fetching and catching.

SONIC TIDES Impress With Boisterous Debut EP ‘SIX SIDED SQUARE – 1st’

27 September 2021

Band: SONIC TIDES (Liege)
Who: Belgian 5-piece that produces a big subversive sound
ranging from noise rock to psychedelic. You can dive into their
duality between dissonant sounds and hypnotizing and
neurotic harmonies.

(photo: Gaux Mar)

Info: “The release of this EP is the result of the group’s work during the pandemic,
traveling between several atmospheres; frantic and dissonant sounds of “Foreseen
Failure” to melancholy vocal harmonies and the soaring atmosphere of “Through
My Bones”. This debut EP offers a glimpse into the alternate universe of Sonic Tides.”

About the artwork: “We were fortunate enough to be able to work with Robby Staebler
aka UVWAYS (All Them Witches) for the artwork for the first EP. We have always greatly appreciated his creations and visuals. He made the artwork for the EP directly from our
music. It was both an honor and a pleasure to be able to collaborate with him.”

Turn Up The Volume: From noise bulldozer Foreseen Failure to Black Sabbath
drone with a blues edge The Grass Grows. From bass-driven slo-mo jam Disruption
to quiet/Loud/quiet tour de force Through my Bones that leaves you behind, puzzled
and dazed with your ears ringing for a couple of minutes. An intense experience.

Top debut EP.

THE ELECTRIC PETALS At Midnight In The City – Hear New Single ‘CHERRY RED’

Daily electricity to load your batteries

27 September 2021

Band: ELECTRIC PETALS
Who: A pop/rock trio with a sound that came together
in the summer of 2020. They record at a log cabin studio
on an island in Temagami, Canada.

New single: CHERRY RED

“Cherry Red” explores the exotic feeling of venturing through an
unknown city alone and stumbling into a hole in the wall that turns
into a classic night. You feel energized and free, dancing in a room
where you can only make out dark silhouettes. An ode to Iggy Pop.
A ‘76-77 period piece set when David Bowie and Iggy Pop were
producing ‘The Idiot’ and ‘Lust for Life’ albums together in Berlin.”

Turn Up The Volume: This slow-moving groove makes you want to go out
and stroll late at night in a big city when the neon lights are on and normal
people are asleep. A sultry saxophone creates an image of which people do
wander around when the darkness sets in.

Ever seen the classic movie Taxidriver? With Robert De Niro playing the leading role,
a troubled taxidriver working all night long in New York City driving all sorts of weird passengers around while a sensual saxophone sounds like an invitation for a wild nightclub visit. Tempting atmosphere, tempting song.
