Fresh Slicing Bristol Indies THE NEW CUT Rattle About ‘THE FAMILY BUSINESS’

Daily noise that works faster and harder than any stimulant

13 April 2023

Band: THE NEW CUT (Bristol, UK)
Who: A quartet that through mutual influences of the likes of
Black Country, New Road, and Do Nothing, push their sound into
a post-punk, riff-based direction, allowing them to create tracks
that are instant angst-driven earworms as a result.

New single: THE FAMILY BUSINESS
The opener and TUTV’s fav track off their newest
noteworthy 4-piece EP Merrywood (stream below).

TUTV: Get ready for a hyperkinetic head-over-heels ripper.
The Family Business rattles and rolls from the get-go propelled
by an unrelenting rhythm section, spiced with a non-stop tsunami
of guitar riffage and shouty harmonies while the jingle jangle drive
of Texan post-punk rockers Parquet Courts echos all the way through it.
These new indies cut it with infectious verve and dizzy dash.

We have a winner.

Press play.
