The 10 new ones added this week

TRACK-BY-TRACK

Band: VERRA CRUZ
Who: British trio who infuse their guitar-driven
sound with emotion, bravado and authentic
melancholy.

Track: HANG ON TO THE SUN

TUTV: Hang On To The Sun follows top-tier single Waiting. It’s an absorbing,
mid-tempo piece that swings forth and back, balancing between slacker rockers
Dinosaur Jr. and Sebadoh. There’s always a sun at the end of the tunnel.

Another striking stroke.

Band: VANARIN
Who: Anglo-Italian electro-pop band.

Track: I DON’T KNOW

An evocative song rekindles the hope of second chances and healing
in the aftermath of lost connections, exploring themes of reconciliation
and the enduring quest for mutual understanding.

TUTV: I Don’t Know could be a hidden track on Tame Impala‘s latest album or
a previosly unreleased Jamiroquai one. Trippy, spaced-out and highly infectious.

Bullseye.

no one is listening,
turn your f*cking sound down
you stupid twat,
headphones, headphones,
buy a pair of headphones
not one wants to hear
your boring chat”

fronted by main man/voice Ed Kowalczyk.

Track: LADY BHANG (SHE GOT ME ROLLIN’)

Artist: HIRO AMA
Who: London-based producer
and multi-instrumentalist.

Track: FOREST BATHING
The title track from his brand new EP.

“A hypnotic ode to the natural world. With a jazz-inspired improvisational flute melody
full of chromaticism that strays from the traditional diatonic scale, the track reverberates with the sound of the Waraku. Gentle, quiet, with an adept blend of electro-acoustic textures, ‘Forest Bathing’ is a moving and experimental piece that positions Hiro Ama
as a formidable talent.”

Time to escape from the daily rat race
with this calming sonic daydream.

PENDULUM – Australian Noiseniks Back With Outburst ‘NAPALM’

Daily noise that works faster than a stream of caffeine

22 August 2024

Credit: Andrew Cotterill

Australian electro-nu-metal shockers PENDULUM are not the most productive
band in the world. In their 22-year-old career they only recorded/released 3 LPs
and a couple of EPs.

They’re back now with a new brawny outburst,
called NAPALM, featuring Joey Valance and Brae.

Rob Swire: (frontman): “The label pretty much came to us saying, ‘Make some more drum’n’bass. As you know, I’ve got a weird relationship with that! We decided to go in
and make it as heavy as possible, rather than make something that would fit into DnB
sets. We wanted to make it our own way.”

Wake up people,
and fasten your
seatbelt.

FEVER 333 – Californian Rage Against The Machine Team Hit Again With New Steamroller ‘NO HOSTAGES’

Daily electricity to load your batteries

21 August 2024

Californian rage against the machine hit team FEVER 333 will share their 2nd LP,
baptized DARKER WHITE, with the world on October 4th. Pre-order info here.

Jason Aalon Butler (frontman): “‘Darker Whit‘ is the intersection we will all find
ourselves in at some point in our lives. It is the struggle we will inevitably face when
identifying our metric for good or bad. Wrong or right. Dark and light. All based on
our environment, social construction and cultural/psychological conditioning.

It is the eagle-eyed observation of said intersection and the removing the shame after realizing we all experience it and it is up to us to find use of this taboo so it can be offered to the world as a beautiful story, piece of wisdom or a perspective that ironically changes your life for the better. ‘DARKER WHITE‘ is a sonic and social experience.’

Stunning new album artwork

If you want to test your speakers’ resilience, play their brand-new high-voltage
steamroller NO HOSTAGES. It’s the third steamroller e from the forthcoming LP.
