PETE BRILEY Energizes Your Body Movements With New Frisky Guitar Pop Gem ‘COLOUR (CALIFORNIA)’

Daily electricity to load your batteries

20 August 2024

Artist: PETE BRILEY
Who: American singer-songwriter who used to be part
of the country-rock band Outlaw Orchestra and released
his self-titled solo album last year.

New single: COLOUR (CALIFORNIA)

Briley: “I feel like there is more colour in California,
everything at home is all shades of grey
“.

The lyrics referencing the Kerouac and the Beat poets who are also all a little off-kilter, complement this time signature perfectly. This track transports you to Pete’s adventure hanging out in the old haunts, bookshops and bars of the Beat Generation.

TUTV: It’s back to the future. With taking inspiration from the 60s literary subculture movement Beat Generation Briley brings those heydays back today and celebrates
at the same time the sunny state of California. All that requires a frisky and feel-good
tune.

Enter Colour (California) that has an immediate effect on your body movements.
It’s a crystal guitar pop gem energized with glistening riffs, sprightly vocals and a
spot-on chorus, that make you jump for joy. Something we really need in these
restless and chaotic times.

Play that funky music here, folks.

RADAR MEN FROM THE MOON – Dutch Industrial Post-Punk Act Fascinate With Götterdämmerung Album ‘VOMITORIUM’

20 August 2024

Band: RADAR MEN FROM THE MOON
Who: Noise-exploring post-punk indies from Eindhoven,
The Netherlands
. Their name was taken from a 1952 Sci-Fi series.

Album: VOMITORIUM,
Their 7th one.

Press info: “It’s an eight-track collection of abrasive experimental punk
that unleashes their latest line-up and musical incarnation in typically confrontational form. Revelling in cathartic excess and a bludgeoning intensity, they power through 90s industrial electronics, discordant noise-rock and the darkest post-punk extremes.”

TUTV: Expect bone-chilling and creepy primal screams accompanied by a hellish pandemonium resonance, coming out of a pitch-black darkness. It’s 1984 all over again. Doom and gloom everywhere. The world is on its way to self-destruction. Industrial NIN-like orchestrations in scary slo-mo design the ominous signs of the times here.

War, intolerance, dictatorial world leaders. Vomitorium is about our grim reality that looks surreal. Eight unbridled, barbed wire jams is what we get, hear and suck up. Schizophrenic guitars, merciless percussion and excorcistic vocals dominate this fascinating record.

It’s not really beach party music but rather the soundtrack for a
graveyard gathering. Götterdämmerung is just around the corner.

THE OFFSPRING + YUNGBLOOD = SELF ESTEEM

Daily noise that works faster than a stream of caffeine

20 August 2024

Californian punk old-timers THE OFFSPRING are making havoc for 40 years now.
And they’re not done yet. On October 11 they unleash their 11th LP, named SUPERCHARGED.

At the moment they have fun at festivals in Europe. Last weekend they were in
Switzerland. They got company from British extravagant star Yungblud who joined
them for a massive performance of their 1994 monster hit SELF ESTEEM.

Here’s just a flash of what happened, but
enough to get the euphoria at work.

Picture This! Fake TAYLOR SWIFT Fans Photos

This is what the utterly desperate TRUMP felon posted today on his Truth Social account. Manipulated photos to let people believe that anti-Trump superstar TAYLOR SWIFT and her fans would be voting for him because she had to cancel a couple of shows in Europe following terroristic threats, claiming that with him as President she wouldn’t have to fear anything.

OMG! He’s such a fruitcake. Really weird 6-year-old bully in an old decaying body vomiting vicious BS daily for years now. Can’t wait for Swift’s reaction which will hit him in the face with the power of an iron boomerang.

A Magical Night With BIG THIEF In A Green Park In Antwerp, Belgium

19 August 2024

Last Wednesday, Brooklyn‘s pop-folk dreamers BIG THIEF
played in the beautiful park Rivierenhof in Antwerp, Belgium.

Frontwoman/songwriter Adrienne Lenker, who released her 6th, widely praised solo
LP Bright Future last March, drew all attention with her heartfelt and poignant voice.

The set consisted mostly of new songs, but as it were vintage Big Thief, mixed
emotions musings, they all were received with much approval of the enthusiastic
crowd.

Here’s one of the new ones, titled Taker.

My favourite one of the 90-minute set was Vampire Empire which they
started playing live last year. An acoustic version of the song is on her
new solo album.

A funny thing happened when they ended the show with a steamy newbie named Incomprehensible. When the band returned for 2 encores, they played that song again,
but much slower.

Lenker explained that they wanted it to play it again, but slower, as it should be done, because the first time was too fast on purpose because she needed to pee urgently. Laughter all over the place. To end a magical night in a green surrounding, they
rocked out with Grandmother, also a new piece.

One small negative remark. I was a bit disappointed because BT didn’t perform one
of their most gripping songs ever, Change from their latest album Drag New Warm Mountain I Believe In You which came out two years ago. I’m pretty sure they didn’t
it because they played that ‘Incomprehensible‘ one twice.

A diamond of a ballad.
