Nashville‘s warm country voice ASHLEY McBRYDE released her successful
5th LP, named Lindeville 2 years ago, featuring several guests/friends.
One of them was songsmith BENJY DAVIS who took care of
the vocals on highlight track Gospel Night At The Strip Club.
His characteristic Americana voice gives this Xmassy lullaby
a melancholic, cosy, and romantic tone. It’s an instant earworm.
But what makes this pearl extra special is its story. It’s about a local strip club in a small (fictional) town (all album’s songs are centered around that town) where Jesus appeared one night – incognito – to have a drink with drunken barflies, whores, and queers who lost touch with the real, hard world outside that despises them.
