COSMIC REVIVAL – Finnish Indie Outfit Echo Southern Rock Electricity On New Single ‘NO ROOM FOR MISTAKES’
Daily electricity to load your batteries
29 July 2026
Band: COSMIC REVIVAL
Who: Finnish outfit that creates atmospheric, groove-driven art rock that moves between intensity and restraint. Their sound is built on layered instrumentation and a strong sense of narrative.
The songs unfold in an imaginative space where characters act as both symbols and stories. Drawing from literature and emotional archetypes, the music forms a world
where meaning is not explained, but discovered.
Rather than aiming for immediacy, Cosmic Revival invites listeners into
a sustained mood, something to return to as well as experience collectively.
Track: NO ROOM FOR MISTAKES
Only their 2nd single.
CR: “Built from the start on organic interplay between the musicians, the song reflects
our belief as a band that music is at its strongest when it grows from genuine interaction, shared dynamics, and the chemistry between musicians.
‘No Room for Mistakes’ broadens our musical palette without losing the atmosphere that has been defining our sound. The result is a song driven by tight musicianship, expressive dynamics, and an irresistible groove. We are very happy with that result!”
TUTV: Back to the 60s/70s, back to the riff-roasting Southern Rock bands
such as Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Allman Brothers, back to the decades where
high-voltage guitars were the prominent heroes.
Cosmic Revival echo yesteryear’s insatiable appetite for hot hooks, lively licks
and firm vocals, producing plenty of beefy brouhaha. No Room For Mistakes is
an unmistakable haymaker of a track.
Let’s roll.

KASABIAN Have 9th Album Out In September – Info & Its 3 Singles (thus far) Here
29 July 2026
British rock stars KASABIAN, fronted by bt their singer-songwriter Serge Pizzorno, one of the best bands of the past 25 years on record and on stage, in my book, are gearing up for their 9th longplayer, baptized ACT III.
Press info: “Draped in Serge’s instantly recognisable hazy vocals, the album is 10 tracks
of guitar-driven, psyche-infused pop and 3 interludes. Packed to the brim with hooks
and a strong dose of swagger, the album cements Kasabian as one of the UK’s most essential bands of the 21st century. ”
As fans know, since frontman Tom Meighan was fired in 2020, the band (read Pizzorno) slid slowly into a more dance-pop-oriented direction. These 3 tasters show you what Kasabian 2.0 is all about.

BOY GEORGE: “You Say Genocide, I Say War”
28 July 2026
Former pop megastar BOY GEORGE (aged 65 now)
has shared a new song (only) via his Instagram.
It’s titled We Will Dance Again.
In the song, he rejects the description of Israel’s
military campaign in Gaza as genocide.
“You say genocide, I say war”
Further in the song, he blames musicians
who speak out against the genocide.
“You condemn the Jews, with selective memory
Musicians holding flags, mouthing like sheep
Propaganda fuelled by the Internet feels so weak”
How mentally sick are you to ignore
the actual genocide, Mister George?
Let’s look back.
After a Hamas-led attack close to the border with the Gaza Strip on 7 October 2023,
344 Israelian civilians and 34 security personnel were killed, and 44 people were taken hostage. Personally, I condemn this deadly attack severely. Killing people never solves problems whatsoever, never did.
Israel‘s response was horribly out of proportion. In no less than 3 years, their military has killed more than 75,000 Palestinians, including more than 20,000 children and more than 44,000 children injured, according to a recent United Nations report.
That’s genocide, not war!!
And let’s not forget, that over the years Israel has
already murdered countless Palestinian civilians
Read the UN REPORT in full HERE, you despicable boy.
And despite the ceasefire, Israel keeps on killing Palestian
civilians, under the unproven pretext that Hamas threat
isn’t over yet.

Summer Of 1973 – July 28th – WATKINS GLEN SUMMER JAM FESTIVAL In Walking Gen, New York Attracted 600,000 People
Every day of this summer we go back to the same summer day somewhere in history
28 July 2026
The WATKINS GLEN SUMMER JAM was held on 28 July 1973, outside of Watkins, New York, with The Allman Brothers Band, Grateful Dead, and The Band as the headliners.
Over 600,000 rock fans attended.
Many historians claimed the event was the largest
gathering of people in the history of the United States.
150,000 tickets were sold for $10 each, but for all the other people
it was a free concert. The crowd was so huge that a large part of the
audience was not able to see the stage.
An impression below.

of the world.”

LEEDS/READING UK – 27/30 August
T. REX Topped UK Charts With Glam Rock Stomper ‘GET IT ON’ Today 55 Years Ago
Top singles from the past
28 July 2026
This day 55 years ago, on 26 July 1971 the late great Marc Bolan‘s (1947-1977)
glam rock band T. REX topped the UK Singles Chart with 24-karat ripsnorter
GET IT ON.
Bolan revealed later that he took the main riff from Chuck Berry‘s corker
Little Queenie. In the US the track was renamed ‘Bang a Gong (Get It On)‘
to avoid confusion with a song of the same name by a combo called Chase.
Whoop it up.
HOLY COVES – Welsh Rousing Indies Mesmerise With Melancholic Guitar Pop Nugget ‘TRAVELLING’
Daily electricity to load your batteries
27 July 2026
Band: HOLY COVES
Who: Rousing Welsh indie outfit, fronted
by singer-songwriter Scott Marsden.
Track: TRAVELLING
Newest single from their 4th LP, titled Hiraeth.
It’ll land on August 14th. Pre-order info here.
Marsden: “This song was my therapy during one of the most difficult moments of my life.
Being able to pick up the guitar and putting pen to paper was the most positive thing I could
do at that time. It helped me process it all and put everything in its place. This is a process I have learnt to embrace that has saved me on many occasions.”
TUTV: Travelling is a heart-and-soul stirring earworm. A gripping, arresting, and
magnetic pop pearl. Its instant catchiness, its mellifluous melodiousness, melancholic vocals, electrically-charged guitar sparks and terrifically emotive chorus combine for
a gloriously sweet-sounding nugget.
Embrace it with your ears. I added this beauty
my best tracks of the year playlist. Say no more.
