hybrid of electro-goth, pop-metal and electronic
dance music.

It’s their debut and features serrated guitars and dance-floor synths locked in
a frenetic embrace, vocals that move from operatic power to breathy seduction,
and basslines designed to rattle both club subs and metal venues alike.

MMBD’s sonic palette evokes a post-apocalyptic ballroom and is a
bold statement of intent from a band that refuses to be predictable.

Who: Celebrated Finnish trippy pop duo from Helsinki.
Actually, two experienced musicians and producers,
Juuso Malin and Sandra Tervonen.

Album: THE VOICES ARE COMING BACK
Their 3rd, released last August.

The famous tandem will release a deluxe edition of that triumphant LP,
dubbed The Voices Became Louder on July 17th, featuring an impressive
cast of guests.

The original album’s as well as the deluxe edition’s cover are bizarre
and weird, but artistically amazing (so are their promo photos).

rapper Benjamin Thage Dag Reichwal.

Album: SULFUR SURFER
His 8th in 16 years. Busy guy.

Dazed says: “This album is dense, with Bladee pastiching disparate references
to Lord of the Rings, Dragon Ball Z, Mary Poppins, Christian mysticism and more
into the postmodern artwork that is his singular musical universe, a world in which
good and evil, nihilism and hope, and, ultimately, fantasy and reality intertwine.”

I looked at the cover from different angles. I must
say that Bladee doesn’t look like a surfer at all.

English symphonic hard rock titans DEEP PURPLE
have no expiration date whatsoever.

On July 3rd, they will launch their 24th LP, named SPLAT.

Ian Gillan (vocalist): “Where we are now with this incarnation of Deep Purple feels very much like a very ‘now’ version of Deep Purple as it was in the seventies. I have to say, now we are very much back in with material that is compatible with ‘Highway Star’, ‘Smoke on the Water’, ‘Lazy’, the dynamics, the balance, and the fun of the music we made from ‘69 to ‘73.” ”


At the heart, SPLAT! is an idea conceived by Gillan. Rather than treating the end as destruction, the album imagines it as transformation. It explores the end of humanity
not in any crude apocalyptic sense but as a metamorphosis beyond physical existence.

To celebrate the release, Deep Purple will continue their extensive 2026 touring schedule with no fewer than 86 shows across 28 countries on three continents. All dates HERE.
