The Late Iconic DOLLY PARTON About EMINEM

27 August 2026

The music world lost a truly genuine, awe-inspiring, all-around beloved and praised
artist with Dolly Parton. Her legacy is huge, artistically and as an open-minded, caring, humanitarian-inspiring person.

She also had an eclectic musical taste.

When hip-rap-hop giant Eminem was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame
in 2022, Parton wrote him a touching letter, which he made public now as an ode to
the brilliant artist.

Here it is.

Marshall (Eminem),

Congratulations on your induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Your performance was amazing and everybody said so. Even though I don’t know a lot about rap music, I’ve come to know that you are the very best at it.
.
Aside from that I hope what I have to say will not seem weird or strange to you but I have always felt some unexplained connection to you like I know you somehow. I had hoped to meet you at the show but you know how nuts those things are, personally I hate ’em and I missed my chance but maybe someday we’ll meet.
.
In the meantime, keep doing what you’re doing because you do it so well and no matter how complex your world may be just know you are very special and touch people in ways you don’t even know. With love & respect, Dolly Parton.

THE CURE General ROBERT SMITH About MY BLOODY VALENTINE

25 August 2026

I wonder which are the two other favourite albums.

“My Bloody Valentine was the first band I heard who clearly pissed all over us. Their album ‘Loveless’ is certainly one of
my all-time three favourite records.”

This November it’ll be 35 years since MBV released their seminal LP Loveless.

COURTNEY LOVE About L7 Bass Player JENNIFER FINCH Who Passed Away Last Month

21 August 2026

Lots of love from Courtney for Jennifer Finch (August 5, 1966 – July 18, 2026)
who lost her battle against brain cancer last month.

In my 62 years I can think of nobody more loyal or honourable. A true friend, who also gave me the security of having one house where I was safe. She was part of one of the most important bands in history.

HENRY ROLLINGS About TED NUGENT

Rollins about Trump/MAGA junk Ted Nugent.

My Nugent records are kind of like my guilty pleasures. I can defend his guitar playing on any battlefield. Then you hear the stuff he says and then you’re like: Ahhh! I just ruins my day. I can’t do it.”

Just go away, macho.

RADIOHEAD Maestro THOM YORKE About DAVID BOWIE

17 August 2026

Sounds creepy, Thom.

“I remember sitting on a climbing frame in a local play park. And I had just
seen the video for ‘Ashes To Ashes’ by David Bowie. It was the craziest thing
I’ve ever seen, and all the other kids were sort of saying, how it was too weird,
and I thought, I wanna do this for a living.”

Genius.
