TRACK BY TRACK

Artist: MARTA
Who: Amazing voice Marta Złakowska, who worked
with trip-hop legend Tricky on his latest albums.

Track: OUT OF THE WAY
The title piece, produced by Tricky, from her upcoming
debut LP. It’ll land on October 3th. More info here.

TUTV: As enigmatic as her mentor himself who is second voice
on this one. Reiterative percussion supercharges this whirling
around jam all the way, while Marta‘s femme fatale vox mystifies.

Bone-chilling.

Band: WILD OCEANS
Who: Fresh, but longtime experienced British indie quartet who
have earned their stripes with decades of combined experience
touring the UK, Europe and the USA.

“This isn’t a comeback it’s a reinvention.”

Track: BLOODBATH
Their debut single.

“Lyrically, it’s a tale a lot of us can identify with – the story of a deceitful lover you keep giving a second chance even though deep down you know they’ll never change – the lyrics and the vocal performance combine perfectly, harnessing the emotion and tension of the song.”

TUTV: A tsunami of greedy guitars opens this riff-jagged juggernaut, then shades in a full of get-up-and-go groove annex punchy vocals, until the powerhouse chorus erupts. And then? The breakneck hits you all over again. Bingo.

——————————————————————————————————————————-

Band: TWEN
Who: The musical duo of American artists Jane Fitzsimmons
and Ian Jones, who team up since 2016.

Track: ALLNIGHTER
2nd shared single from their forthcoming, 3rd album,
titled Fate Euphoric, out on November 4th.

TUTV: Twen develop a head-twisting run from the get-go, fed
by jangly guitars, a non-stop resolute drum dynamo and pithy
pop vocals.

Jackpot.

Artists: BRIAN ENO and BEATIE WOLFE
Who: The ambient wizard and his vocal
Anglo-American collaborator.

Track: PART OF US
Piece from their upcoming 3rd album of the year, actually the 3th
in only 5 months. Talking about being productive. It’s named Liminal
and comes our way on October 10th.

TUTV: Another twilight wandering, combining ambient
textures and Wolfe‘s transfixing voice seamlessly well.

Spellbinding.

——————————————————————————————————————————-

Artist: USI ES
Who: The musical moniker of Belgian singer-songwriter Ester Weemaes. In her attic studio, she interweaves synths and samples with her distinctive, dark voice. Her music balances between darkness and dreaminess, feeling like a blanket wrapped around you: soft yet heavy, with frayed edges. She released her debut EP Mutiny.

Track: KONAMI CODE
2nd single from her upcoming debut album, expected to
be released early 2026, on which she worked again with
her coach, mentor en mixer Dijf Sanders.

TUTV: Konami Code is a sensual slo-mo musing that grows on your ears and mind all along its reflective way, led by Es‘ sultry midnight hours voice floating somewhere up there on an imaginary cloud. Think of Sade‘s near-whispering, romantic reveries.

Endearing.

Who: Rap-punk poetry duo featuring
voice Jason Williamson and instrumentalist
Andrew Fearn.

Track: MEGATON
First new music since the release
of their 12th LP ‘UK Grim‘ 2 years ago.

“Megaton, No War No Death! Such is the weight of trauma, guilt and powerlessness
in privileged societies that we squirm like an overloaded petri dish full of algae fed
by the algorithm.

Everything is wrong and everything as a reaction is argued to be right, and in
this we give birth to behaviours that smother solidarity and cause mass waves
of haemorrhaging alienation while the world quietly collapses offscreen.”

The mods on a characteristic,
sharp-cutting roll. Chop. Chop.

Band: CARDINALS
Who: Young Irish indies

Track: MASQUERADE
Title track from their
upcoming debut album.

“The song is definitely one of the more intimate moments on the album.
The vulnerability it reveals is uncomfortable and that’s where we wanted
to be when we were writing the songs on the record.”

Poignant slo-mo torch jam.
Spellbinding. Spine-tingling.

Band: STEREOLAB
Who: Anglo-French avant-pop
veterans from London.

Who: 7-piece folk rock collective
originating from North Carolina.

Track: SWEETHEART OF THE RADIO
First single of their 4th album,
named Look Who’s Back.

Shaun Couture (guitar/vocals): “This song is about a truck driver who is so lonely he falls
in love with a country singer on the radio. I’ve always been fascinated with truck drivers, and
as a touring musician, our lives are not that far off from a trucker’s.”

Vocal country elation.
Let’s hit the road.

for almost 4 decades and 11 LPs

Band: GURRIERS
Who: Fast-rising, Irish post-punk team who
released their debut album Come And See

Track: ERASURE

“Erasure is a chaotic mash of genres, an unwavering cry
into the void in the face of imperialism and tyranny”.

TUTV: These Irishmen hunt all sort of fascists who want to rule the world, with a sharp knife between the teeth, while chainsaw guitars, a manic drummer and an intimidating vocalist prepare for a fiery fight.

Instagram – Spotify
——————————————————————————————————————————-

Artist: BAXTER DURY
Who: Flamboyant British songsmith.

Track: MOCKINGJAY

TUTV: Dury launches his 9th LP, tomorrow, Friday,
but in a hurry, he offers us a final taster with this funky,
drums-driven stomper.

Band: THE BIG IDEA
Who: Indie team from
La Rochelle, France.

Track: THESE DAYS
Newest single from their upcoming 6th album,
titled ‘Half A Dozen‘, out on October 17th.

It stands as a definitive post-punk manifesto, firmly rooted in the present.

TUTV: Expect a jagged jam circling around a non-stop riff that keeps rotating
in your head long after the outro. Ominous vocals grumble all over These Days’
beat-heavy groove. Boogielicious dynamics, threatening vibrations. Both
infectious and scary.

Instagram – Website
——————————————————————————————————————————-

Band: CROW FOLLOW
Who: Boston‘s urban cabaret
and velvet shaman swamp rock project.

Track: GOLDEN DAYS

TUTV: This drum-powered chant spiced with some golden Mexican trumpet glow, sultry sax and ends with nervous guitars sounds a bit weird at first, but after a couple of spins, everything falls into place and you end up with a contagious, foot-tapping tune that you replay in an eye/ear blink. Top-tier stroke.

.

——————————————————————————————————————————-

Band: HALFCUTLEMON
Who: Alternative rock band, from Copenhagen (Denmark),
blending raw punk aesthetics with cinematic depth and lyrical introspection.

Track: DISTURBANCE

The song turns a watchful eye toward conspiracy culture and our willingness to be guided, seated, and comforted. The message is part caution, part reassurance: someone will take care of you, keep you warm, radiators unite.

TUTV: Rip-roaring riffage, tireless drum beats and encouraging vocals work together tightly on this psyched up sucker punch that slows down suddenly somewhere in the middle, refills its tank and storms towards a berserk finale.

Band: WHITEHORSE
Who: New indie outfit fronted by Thomas
Haywood
, former frontman of The Blinders.

Track: RED RIPTIDE

TUTV: This splendid steamroller is driven by a manic bass riff motorizing it all the way. When electric-powered guitars and high-strung vocals join the race it’s full steam ahead, scraping the sky now and then. Toptier stroke.

Artist: BEDROOM JUNE
Who: Singer-songwriter from Hamburg, Germany who transforms personal fractures into delicate electronic pop songs that oscillate between vulnerability, alienation, and a quiet longing for closeness.

Track: DISTRACTED BY YOU
Piece from her brand-new, Eponymous EP. It tells of inner vulnerability, the search
for connection, and small moments of clarity—all wrapped up in a warm, electronic
indie pop sound.

TUTV: Adrenalized by a magnetic bass force, luminous synths and sensual vocals this jagged jam takes you on a whirling ride. Trust me, you will be attracted, not distracted
by this swift thrill. Startling stuff.

Band: SPARKS
Who: The imperishable
Mael brothers.

Track: PORCUPINE
New single from their upcoming, 4-track Madder EP,
out October 3. It follows last year’s 26th album Mad!

TUTV: Sparks are one of those bands that not quit. Vocalist Russell is 78 and his bizzare looking bro Ron is 80, yet they are more productive than some outfits in their 20s. And they still manage to please your ears with synth pop kicks.

Artist: BLAUDZUN
Who: Renowned Dutch
singer-songwriter Johannes Sigmond.

TUTV: Affecting singer-songwriter splendor. Mixed emotions and confused feelings wrapped in a passional song peaking when the wholehearted chorus comes up,
spiced with Blaudzon‘s gripping vocals.

Who: The backing band of Irish
songsmith veteran Neil Hannon.

Track: THE INVISIBLE THREAD
Newest single from their upcoming, 13th album, the first

smooth musings for years now and still is very good at it.

which landed last March.

“Veto Powder is a bonus track from the Pattern Speaks album and is one of the first songs we wrote as a band. It’s also an anti-war song. May we someday have the vision and courage to celebrate the infinite beauty in each other.”

Of course, it’ll be celebrated with an anniversary edition, featuring several previously unreleased tracks. Along with the proper album, we get her 1975 audition tape for RCA,
an alternate take on Birdland and Snowball, a non-album track.

In many cases, previously unreleased tracks are just
average songs. Not here. This is vintage young Patti.

Track: LESBIAN OF THE YEAR

Newest preview piece from their 3rd full-length.
It’s named No Hard Feelings, and shows up on
August 29th.

Leandra Earl (keyboards, guitar, backing vocals): “It’s about the shame I felt coming
out later in life and the pressure of trying to live up to ‘Lesbian of the Year,’ a title given
to me by my sweet fans. I feel regret for not knowing myself sooner, but this song is also
about the journey of self discovery & sexual identity and accepting that everyone is on
their own timeline and we’ll get there when we get there.”

A retro-sounding ballad
at its gripping best.

who released her debut album Starface last year.

Band: SUNFLOWERS
Who: Disorderly trio from Portugal. They make noise like it’s a language of survival. Their sound blends blistering punk energy with layers of distortion, experimental chaos, and existential release — always teetering between catharsis and collapse.

New album artwork

Track: CHAMELEON KID
First shared single from their forthcoming 5th LP, titled
You Have Fallen… Congratulations!. More info right here.

The new album pinballs between noise rock, punk, warped psych,
and a sort of mangled pop sensibility. It’s loud and sharp-edged, but
with moments of eerie restraint, like falling through a trapdoor into
calm, then being hurled back into chaos.

TUTV: Blimey. Make sure you warn your neighbors that a sonic storm is coming,
before Chameleon Kid explodes on your wobbling stereo, to avoid that they call
the anti-decibels police. This jagged bass-drum-fueled juggernaut rushes and
races like a hopped-up hot rod on psychedelic steroids. Helter skelter!

Artists: ARTHUR BUCK
Who: R.E.M.’s Peter Buck and
singer-songwriter Joseph Arthur.

Track: SLEEP WITH ONE EYE OPEN
First single from their 2nd, collaborative
longplayer, landing on October 3rd.

Arthur: “To be the protector, or perhaps the paranoid partner?
This one introduces some wah-wah lead work by me, which becomes
a bit more prevalent as the album continues. Intense background
vocals by Corin Tucker from Sleater-Kinney and a welcome horn
section give it even more classic rock gravitas.”

TUTV: Titanic tune. It sounds like if a full
orchestra is at work. Bluesy, rocky, kicky.
A full-hearted feat.

Band: ALPINE SKIES
Who: Mutual friends, Kevin Homan and Darren Farrell from Dublin, Ireland. They discovered an instant creative chemistry that would soon unfold into what will be their debut album – an evocative, layered collection of songs shaped by wide skies, still landscapes, and inner journeys.

Track: WALLS
Only their 2nd single, following
their debut Be Your Side.

“Walls” holds the value of memories at its core. Valuing,
not loss or absence, but the fact that something ever was.

TUTV: This robust drums-propelled power pop stroke goes sky-high on
its adrenaline-infused chorus, strengthened by its engrossing vocality.
A rock-solid wall of a tune.

Band: WILD BABY
Who: Fresh Finnish
indie outfit.

Track: LETTERS
Debut single.

Info:Letters is a perfect introduction to the band’s music with it’s two lead vocalists singing in a dialogue in this melodic, storytelling dynamic track. The song is about two lovers far apart from each other, both in time and distance.”

TUYV: Americana the Finnish way. Dreamy harmonies, acoustic guitar sparks in front, melancholic melodiousness, impassioned vocals. Letters is a sepia-colored romantic musing that entices and enthralls quickly.

Briley: “I realised I’d passed through that airport over a dozen times but never
stepped foot in the city itself. I was always just a ghost—present, but never rooted.
That fleeting sense of presence grew into a broader meditation on transience.”

TUTV: Expect a limbs-activating and jaunty pop tune with a funky groove
you should add to your 2025 summer playlist, pronto. A stimulant in the
morning, a nightcap in the evening, an inspiration during the day.

Band: SEADOG
Who: Guitar pop indies
from Brighton, UK

Track: AT WAR (WITH EVERYTHING)
First new music since last year’s release
of their 2nd album Internal Noise.

Press info: It’s a powerful reflection on the digital age of division. Inspired by the rise of keyboard warriors and the echo chambers of modern politics, the track delves into how social media fuels conflict and polarization, with poignant lyricism and sonic intensity.

TUTV: Think Dinosaur Jr and Grandaddy teaming up for a psychedelic stroll. Jangly melodic, vocally harmonic and shoegazy electrical. One spin and your dreaming ears are hooked. Share this therapeutic trip on your social media, all you music junkies out there, and light up our digital world.

Who: Irish Gothic post-punk artist with,
so far, two albums on his résumé.

Track: CELESTIAL
Opener of his new EP Trust Devoured. It features
transatlantic post-punk act Lunar Paths.

Press info: Drawn from the thunderous rhythm of Lunar Paths’ Zero Trust Mentality, Celestial is pMad’s cosmic, post-apocalyptic meditation on distance, connection, and collapse. It’s an ethereal yet hard-hitting track that bridges Cinematic rock with pMad’s unmistakable gothic roots.

TUTV: Vintage dark-pMad-wave. Glowing six-strings sparks, meditative vocals,
and accelerated dynamics and reflective pauses alternating organically. Stellar.

Band: IDLEWILD
Who: Scottish indie pop team.
1995–2010, 2013–present

Track: IT’S NOT THE FIRST TIME
Newest single from their 10th, self-titled
album, their first full length in 6 years.
It’ll hit the streets on 3 October.

New album artwork

“We’re looking back without being nostalgic — we were thinking about all the songs we’d made and the new songs we were making. For the first time we were referencing ourselves, not in a nostalgic way, in a positive, creative way, realising that we had a ‘sound’ and the songs we were writing should celebrate that. After it was all recorded and done, it felt fitting to simply title it ‘Idlewild’.”

Shiny sparkling guitars. Sparkling chorus. Melancholia in sonic motion.

Band: LOBSTERBOMB
Who: Glamorous indie quartet from Berlin. They released
their pithy party debut album Look Out in 2023. You can
stream it here.

Track: NIGHTBIRD

Crayon Jones (guitarist): “Nightbird is a song for insomniacs and people
who find their creative energy after the sun goes down. A song for when
the world around you is dark and quiet but your mind is racing with ideas.”

TUTV: Guitar pop dead? C’mon go away, or wait, stay and listen to this fizzy thrill,
it’ll change your mind in 3 minutes. Nightbird is poppy, sprightly, and zingy energized
by glowing guitars, beating drum/bass dynamics, and lively vocals. An ideal companion
for sleepless nights.

Band: POPTONES
Who: Psych guitar trio
from Copenhagen, Denmark.
.
Track: SAY SOMETHING NEW.

The song’s been created in a really unique way, improvised by chance
through drawing down UNO cards representing different sonic textures,
one of many avant-garde techniques the band employ across their
upcoming album Pure, out on September 26.

Pre-order info here.

TUTV: Poptones craft woozy psych-pop tunes like this one. Say Something New
is also a puzzling rollercoaster starting with all guitar cylinders on, then slowing
down and floating around with, dreamy vocals, for a short while only to turn up
the amps again. A mind-boggling affair.

Instagram – Linktree
——————————————————————————————————————————-

Band: GHXST
Who: L.A.-based noise duo who released their debut album Admire in 2022. Known for their moody and existential doom-infused tracks, they have solidified their place in the music scene over the past decade. Originally emerging from the New York underground scene, have transitioned West, bringing their signature style with them.

Track: COSMIC

Press info: True to their doom-heavy roots, on the new single, GHXST’s sound floats
between grit and atmosphere, a meditation on weight, distance, and the quiet
pull of the infinite.

TUTV: Cosmic gets under your skin, slowly but surely. Quiet/Loud/Quiet/Loud. The foreboding slo-mo progression, pushed by industrial drones, scintillating guitars and ghostly vocals create an ill-omened karma. Well, it’s 2025 and the signs aren’t optimistic.

on his résumé (6 recorded with his band the 400 Unit)

Track: SHOULD I GO MISSING

Isbell has reissued his 10-year-old album Something More Than Free
digitally and will be available on physical media on October 3. It includes
this previously unreleased track, a B-side for one of the LP’s singles.

TUTV: Fortunately this psychedelic, slide-guitar ripper didn’t go missing. It resonates like a swamp blues burner spiced with good old organ play and Isbell‘s firm voice. Chill-out cool.
