Let’s ‘HAVE A PINT’ With Scottish Punk Dropouts COWBOY HUNTERS

Daily electricity to load your batteries

22 January 2026

Band: COWBOY HUNTERS
Who: Glasgow‘s punk dropouts
Megan Pollock and Desmond Johnston.

They have steadily built a reputation as one of the UK’s most unpredictable and confrontational live acts. Sharing duties across drums, bass and vocals, the duo
operate with a deliberately stripped-back setup that amplifies the physical impact
of their shows, drawing equally from the raw intensity of punk and the communal
release of rave culture

Track: HAVE A PINT
New single from their upcoming 5-track EP,
titled EPeepee. It’ll hit the streets on March 20th.

TUTV: Oh bloody hell yeah. This is it. Raw and rough punk hysteria at its sharp-cutting best. These two mental hunters take you on a wham-bam rollercoaster ride, up and down, left and right. Have A Pint sounds like it was recorded in their local pub’s toilet, generating some barbed wire shit, juiced with obstreperous duet vocals that drive you nuts in the end. This roistering Scottish duo will join Sleaford Mods on their upcoming tour.

Have a beer.
Press play.
Go berserk.

Band: MODERN WOMAN
Who: London-based art-rock outfit
fronted by songwriter Sophie Harris.

Track: DASHBOARD MARY
Lead-single from their upcoming debut full-length, baptized
Johnny’s Dreamworld and out on May 1st. More info here.

Album artwork

Press info on album: ‘Johnny’s Dreamworld’ represents the culmination of Modern Woman’s journey from Harris’s early, intimate songwriting project into a full-bodied
band capable of folding post-punk, avant-garde, and folk traditions into a live force
of dynamic originality.

At its heart, the record explores the strange poetry buried within the ordinary. Harris’s lyrics, steeped in literary detail and filmic atmosphere, draw from a fascination with the dark underbelly of the everyday and the contradictions of womanhood.”
,
TUTV: Blimey! This slow-burning torch gets you in a firm grip before you even realize it.
Its ongoing immense intensity has a hypnotic impact on your psyche. Foreboding tension hangs in the air, augmented by Harris bone-chilling vocality. Around the 3-minute mark, all pent-up emotions explode into a guitar-layered finale that blows your mind away.

Stupendous!
Overwhelming!

THE DARTS – Garage Punk Amazons Start HALLOWEEN Right Now With New Sizzling Love Song ‘MIDNIGHT CREEP’

Daily electricity to load your batteries

<

16 January 2026

📸 Tina Gross

Band: THE DARTS
Who: Steamy garage Amazons based in Seattle, Washington,
fronted by charismatic singer-songwriter Nicole Laurenne,
also operating solo as Black Viiolet

Track: MIDNIGHT CREEP
The first single from their forthcoming LP, their 6th, named
Halloween Love Songs. It’ll hit our stereos on March 3rd.

Press info: “‘Midnight Creep’ started as a surprise curveball when ‘rythm section bitch’
Lindsay brought Nicole a demo called ‘Phantom Creep.’ Nicole was already quietly writing a Halloween-themed album and immediately heard a chance to chase something different.

An honest-to-ghoul old-school monster dance, the kind that might’ve aired on a haunted Shindig episode taped in a basement full of fog machines and paper-mâché bats. She rebuilt the tune into a slinky, organ-driven earworm; Lindsay created a simple, go-go-friendly choreography; and suddenly The Darts had a Halloween banger that felt both brand-new and weirdly familiar.”

TUTV: As a longtime fan, news of new Darts music puts a big smile on my face,
and lately it happens every year. I actually don’t know what Nicole Laurenne eats
or drinks, but her production flow is off the charts, with the band and solo.

Look, I’m smiling again. New album in March, new single today.

Midnight Creep is vintage Darts frenzy. Sizzling, blistering, and red-hot-blooded. Laurenne and her sidekick, her organ, lead the hungry troops once again. The piquant buzz and fuzz at play here ignites all of your limbs and makes you jump like a kangaroo from left to right and back.

The always black-dressed glam she-devils look sexy, play sexy, and sound sexy
(on record and on stage), and thanks to them, it’s Halloween every single day of
the year, from now on. This new smashing pumpkin is perfect to open and end
all creepy midnight parties. Bullseye!

KIM GORDON – Former Sonic Youth Icon Rocks Out On New Swirling Single ‘NOT TODAY’

Daily electricity to load your batteries

15 January 2026

Former Sonic Youth icon KIM GORDON (aged 72) launched her 2nd solo album, titled
The Collective last year in March. Another noise-distorted exploration of industrial sounds. A worthy follow-up to her startling 2019 debut No Home Record.

And Gordon isn’t running out of effervescent sonic ideas. She already bagged
her 3rd full-length, titled PLAY ME. It’ll land on March 13th. More info here.

Press info: “Kim Gordon‘s vision of art and noise has come sharper into focus just
as readily as it has changed—a paradigm of possibility that, four decades on, still
feels like a dare. Play Me is distilled and immediate, expanding Gordon’s sonic
palette to include more melodic beats and the motorik drive of krautrock.”

Along with the news comes the first single NOT TODAY.

KG: “I started singing in a way I hadn’t sung in a long time. This other voice came out.”

TUTV: Make some room, just like Gordon does (below in the clip) and make room for some swaying movements. It’s another musical affair this time. More straightforward, more rock, more zip. Whatever Kim says I’m gonna play her today. You should too.

MAGIC WANDS Entrance With Psych Dream Pop Piece ‘SACRED MIRRORS’ Feat. Former PSYCHEDELIC FURS Guitarist

Daily electricity to load your batteries

12 January 2026

Band: MAGIC WANDS
Who: Dream-pop duo – Dexy and Chris Valentine – from Los Angeles.
So far they have released 3 albums. You check them out on Spotify.

New single: SACRED MIRRORS
It features former Psychedelic Furs‘s
guitarist John Ashton.

Dexy: “The song is based around John’s title but approached from a more spiritual
perspective. We are all sky gazers, so it includes imagery about the sky, sea, moon
and stars.

It’s a love song for outsiders about reflections and dreaming of endless possibilities.
We needed to be brought back to a more uplifting side of making music, and the DNA
of John’s songwriting has helped us to do just that.”

Ashton: “I fell in love with Magic Wands via a friend who sent me some of their music.
The songs immediately drew me in via the visions and emotions they imparted on my
psyche. To say I was inspired to write new music would be an understatement.”

TUTV: This is new-wavish splendour that has an immediate impact on your inner self. Sacred Mirrors moves in a hallucinatory universe, far away from our traumatic reality, where you can nestle yourself in your dream of choice. Illusory Valentine vocals and Ashton‘s electricity fit each other like a glove.

Press play and float away.

fiery fireworks. Titanic drum hammering, earsplitting guitar riffs, and towering vocals combine for a sizzling flurry of roasting rock ‘n’ roll hooks.

RICHARD SALLIS – Australian Singer-Songwriter Stirs With Brassy Musing ‘THE CITY’

6 January 2026

Artist: RICHARD SALLIS
Who: Singer-songwriter from
Adelaide, South Australia.

Track: THE CITY
New single from his new, fully re-recorded album,
named Casino, which he wrote at the age of 18.

Single artwork

TUTV: Expect a bittersweet, piano-stirring love song marked by mixed emotions.
Sallis paints a mellow, orchestral sound that both ensorcels and magnetizes. His
sorrowful vocals enamour and trigger heart-rending thoughts.

Overall, The City is a moony musing peaking on the brassy
chorus, which brings the sonic warmth of Beirut to mind.

“Nowadays you must be in the city
Seeing whatever you wanted to see
Nowadays you must be in the city
Chasing after your hopes and dreams, dreams
I never want to go back to the city
I don’t wanna risk seeing you again, again”
