On 5 July 1969, 55 years ago today, THE ROLLING STONES organized a free outdoor festival in Hyde Park, London to introduce new guitarist Mick Taylor. But as co-founder and highly influential ex-member Brian Jones died two days before, the show became a tribute for him. From that historical event, attended by about 300.000 people, here’s
one of the filthiest and hottest firecrackers the band ever wrote HONKY TONK WOMAN.

Riot grrrl queen KATHLEEN HANNA (aged 54 now) is quite busy playing reunion tours.

Three years ago she hit the road with her most famous and iconic punk act Bikini Kill. Unfortunately, the Covid-19 lockdown torpedoed lots of gigs.

This year, Hanna started a sold-out reunion tour with Le Tigre last May. Last week they played in Baltimore Last July. The roof went off when they played Deceptacon, the classic cracker (more than 156 million streams on Spotify) from their 1999 self-titled debut LP.

caused euphoric excitement among fans and critics with their second full
length SUPERNOVA, that landed a year ago. A bomb-tastic blast of a record.
From their on it was touring time.

The utterly cool duo also played this year’s Glastonbury.

Adam Granduciel and his band THE WAR ON DRUGS have become huge stars
over the years following 5 triumphant longplayers in 15 years with ‘I Don’t Live
Here Anymore’ as the most recent one (2021).

The Philly heroes were on this year’s Glastonbury bill and played a blistering set, including this spellbinding version of UNDER THE PRESSUREa> from their 2014 LP ‘Lost In The Dream’.

Swedish sweaty rockers VIAGRA BOYS scored 2nd best album of 2022
on TUTV’s list with their 3rd album Cave World. A bloody motherrocker
of a record.

They’re on tour for almost 2 years now, playing indoors and outdoors.
A week ago they turned up the heat in The Netherlands at Lowlands Fest.

Summer Live – Full Sparkling SPARKS Set At PRIMAVERA BARCELONA 2023

The inseparable brothers Ron and Russell Mael, artistically known worldwide
for years now – since 1966 – as SPARKS are as productive, on and off stage,
as ever. Along the years they generated 3 generations of fans.

Last May they released their 25th LP, titled THE GIRL IS CRYING IN HER LATTE.
Another brisk pop triumph that got lots of accolades from the press. Not bad at
all for these imperishable musical siblings.

And live they’re also as fit as a fiddle. This and next year
it’s tour/album-promo time for the familial tandem.

Last June they played at the
Primavera Sound Festival
in Barcelona.
