change our priorities and reconsider our values as a society without having ‘produce/consume/die’ as a motto,” explains Cosentino.

I really wonder if humankind will have the willpower to do what’s necessary
to guarantee life for the next generations to come. The me, myself and I attitude
still rules. One day egoism will prevail.

The fairytale heroine BJÖRK will launch her
her new – 10th – solo LP Fossora in two weeks,
on 30 September.

The Iceland celebrity describes the new album as a look at normal daily life.
“Let’s see what it’s like when you walk into this fantasy and, you know, have
a lunch and farrrrt and do normal things, like meet your friends.”

Following lead single Atopos we get a second new piece titled OVULE

Björk: “It is a meditation about us as lovers walking around this world and I imagine
2 spheres or satellites following us around. One above us that represents ideal love, one
below us representing the shadows of love and we ourselves walk around in the third
sphere of real love, where the everyday monday-morning meet-in-the-kitchen-love lives in.”

It’s a love song, the Björk way that is,
accompanied (as usual) by a showy video clip.

NORAH JONES Honors LEONARD COHEN With Soulful Cover And Eye-Catching Animated Video

There are so many Leonard Cohen tribute albums already around and another one is
coming up on 11 November via the iconic jazz label Blue Note (in business since 1939).

HERE IT IS: A TRIBUTE TO LEONARD COHEN will feature covers of 12 of his countless pearls performed by artists such as Peter Gabriel, Iggy Pop, James Taylor and Mavis Staples.

American songstress and grand voice Norah Jones is also part of the tribute. She delivers a soulful interpretation of Steer Your Way. A characteristic bluesy Cohen reverie from
his final longplayer You Want It Darker.
