murders. Gilmore wanted his eyes be donated to science after his
execution as “they’d probably be the only body part usable”.

American singer/songwriter EDWIN STARR (born Charles Edwin Hatcher died in 2003, only 61) had his biggest hit with WAR. An anti-Vietnam song written by Motown artists Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong.

It topped the US Singles chart 51 years ago today, on 29 August 1970.
