The five-star B-sides album THE MASTERPLAN by OASIS, turned 25 last Friday.
For the occasion, an anniversary reissue is out now. It features remastered
audio and is available now on limited 2LP silver-coloured vinyl, 2LP black vinyl
and an Oasis Shop exclusive 2LP green/black marbled coloured vinyl. There’s
also a standard CD version available.
TUTV: At least half of the songs (Acquiesce / Talk Tonight / Fade Away / The Swamp Song /
The Masterplan / Half The World Away / (It’s Good) To Be Free) had A-side quality – as Noel used to say “I don’t write B-sides, I only write A-ones” – and shouldn’t have been released as B-sides, but put aside for their 3rd LP with the 3 best songs (D’You What I Mean / Stand By Me / All Around The World) of the official 3rd longplayer Be Here Now, mostly fucked up because of too many drugs and 24-hour parties.

Yesterday, 8 February, LIAM ‘tonight I’m a rock ‘n’ roll star‘ GALLAGHER made Brussels
go totally bonkers. Every word from every song was screamed out loud by a choir of 6000 people (with at least 2000 English fans). One of the highlights was Oasis song Acquiesce. The lines of the chorus came up on the big screen behind the band. I’m sure the number of decibels produced by the euphoric audience at that point was illegal and harmful for the ears. The whole arena was overwhelmingly adrenalized. It was fucking awesome! It was fucking ace! It was a night to remember for a very long time! Hail hail Liam!

Amazing live moments…
LIAM GALLAGHER started his UK tour last week, following the release of his
2nd Number One solo album in his home country with ‘WHY ME? WHY NOT’.
Last Friday he landed in Glasgow. By accident, I stumbled upon this amateur footage
of Liam‘s rendition of old Oasis knockout ‘Acquiesce’. Maybe the quality isn’t 100%,
but the FUCKING ENERGY is, certainly when the chorus comes on the giant screen
behind the band. Oh yes, you get A ROCK AND ROLL CHOIR OF THOUSANDS when
Liam is in the house.
