Artwork: Cover of his debut album I GET WET
released 20 years ago today, on 13 November 2001.

The cover caused controversy in Europe, as it was seen to represent
cocaine abuse and violence. To achieve the effect, W.K. initially said
that he struck himself in the face with a piece of a cinder block during
the photoshoot but later explained that it did not lead to enough blood
flow. Consequently, he supplemented his own blood with some of an
animal which he got from a butcher’s shop.

others will say life’s too short NOT to scheme and strain. Still, other people will say both
these approaches are incorrect. And what do I say? Everything I just said is in the video.”

Everybody Sins is a rock ‘n’ roll prayer turning into
a horror rock ‘n’ roll hymn you can party hard to.
