THE CONSCIENCE PILATE is an indie tandem – Edward Pond (bass) and
Neil Leyton
(vocals, guitar) – from Toronto that produce guitar-driven pop
music which combines the energy of CBGB’s 70s post-punk with the texture
of 80’s alternative rock. They got together at university in 1995, released one
album named Living In A Movie Scene in 1996 and called it a day 2 years later.

Now after a 25-year hiatus, they decided to reunite and
immediately wrote ARMY OF DEVILS over a bottle of Rioja.

Pond: “Army of Devils is a song about not letting the demons in our
head mess up the good things in our life, and how sometimes we wreck
it a little anyway.”

Army Of Devils is a guitar-layered, straightforward rocker. Fiery, aflame
and flaring and intensified with ardent vocals. A frenetic feat that easily
could be on a Band Of Horses album. Americana rock the Canadian way.
