BACK TO BLACK (named after her 2nd and final album, released in 2006)
chronicles the life and music of the late British songstress with the golden
voice AMY WINEHOUSE, through the journey of adolescence to adulthood
and the creation of one of the best-selling albums of our time.

It’ll be in the UK cinemas on 12 April and on 10 May in the US.

Winehouse, who struggled with drugs and alcohol, died in 2011, only 27.

A coroner’s inquest reached a verdict of misadventure. The report explained that Winehouse‘s blood alcohol content was 416 mg per 100 ml (0.416%) at the time of her death, more than five times the legal drink-drive limit. The “unintended consequence”
of so much drink was her “sudden and unexpected death”.
