Wonderful voice RONNIE SPECTOR was born Veronica Yvette Bennett
78 years ago in Manhattan, NYC. She passed away yesterday, 12th January.

In 1957 she formed the girl group THE RONETTES with her sister Estelle and
niece Nedra Talley. They scored a series of hits with BE MY BABY (1963)
as their biggest one.

Ronnie was married for 4 years to wall-of-sound wizard Phil Spector.
In 1970 she started her long and very productive solo career.
