Steve Albini, the noise rock pioneer with Big Black and Shellac who helped craft some of the greatest alternative rock albums of all time, has died at 61

It’s only 2 months ago that Albini announced a new Shellac album via
social media, their 6th and first in 10 years. They titled it To All Trains
and is/was planned to come out, next week, on May 17.
It was so great to see Shellac playing live
back in 2017 in Kortijk, Belgium on one of
their rare tours.
