Living Legend BILLY JOEL (born named William Martin Joel 75 years ago in NYC)
scored many hits. One of them was WE DIDN’T START THE FIRE from his 11th LP
Storm Front. It topped the US Chart on 9 December 1989, today 35 years ago.

BILLY JOEL, the world famous songsmith who recorded/released 13 albums between
1971 and 2001 and scored giant hits such as Uptown Girl, Piano Man, We Didn’t Start The
Fire and Goodnight Saigon released a new single, titled TURN THE LIGHTS BACK ON
a couple of weeks ago. His first new music in 17 years.

The song is a beautifully orchestrated piano-driven ballad you can file between
the past with Harry Nilsson and the present with John Father Misty who is a big
Nilsson fan himself.

A new spectacular clip for the song is online now.

The video is directed by Warren Fu and Freddy Wexler. It uses groundbreaking AI technology, to go through the BJ ages. From the early seventies Piano Man Joel, to
the all bushy-haired and befogged with cigarettes, to late eighties Storm Front Joel,
to the present-day Joel. The 4 Joels all sing the song together in a montage at the end.

The songsmith who recorded/released 13 albums between 1971 and 2001 and scored giant hits such as Uptown Girl, Piano Man, We Didn’t Start The Fire and Goodnight Saigon just dropped a new single, titled TURN THE LIGHTS BACK ON. And Joel still knows his craft.
