BOB MOULD Shares Ardent Acoustic 3-Track Live EP ‘THE OCEAN’
New striking strokes
19 February 2022
Former Hüsker Dü and Sugar hero shared,
unexpectedly, a 3-track live EP titled THE OCEAN.
Just him and his acoustic guitar. Two songs (The Ocean
and Forecast Of Rain are from his 2020 LP Blue Hearts and
the third track is an old Hüskerr Dü one Divide And Conquer).
The way he performs here, ardent and passionate,
is so characteristic for Mould. Genuine artist.

BOB MOULD Covers BUZZCOCKS – Here’s Rapid-Fire Ripper ‘I DON’T MIND’
14 September 2020
Former Hüsker Dü mouthpiece BOB MOULD has another solo LP coming called Blue Hearts, out 25th September. In between recording he took time to cover Manchester
punk icons BUZZCOCKS.
He picked their 1978 single I DON’T MIND. A rapid-fire ripper that sounds like the late great Pete Shelley wrote it with Mould in mind. I Don’t Mind fits him like a punk glove. Galloping, propelling and inflammatory.

Raw Rip-Roaring Rocker – BOB MOULD Shares New Cut ‘SIBERIAN BUTTERFLY’ From Upcoming Album…
New sonic impulses…
10 September 2020
Next week former Hüsker Dü/Sugar conductor BOB MOULD – who’ll celebrate his
60th birthday next month – unleashes his fourteenth longplayer called BLUE HEARTS.
We got two cuts so far: ‘American Crisis‘ and ‘Forecast Of Rain‘ (listen below).
And here’s another new one. SIBERIAN BUTTERFLY is a striking stunner going
full steam ahead from the get-go. A raw rip-roaring rocker. Wham bam!
Mould about the song’s story: “As I kept writing, the narrative shifted toward themes of change, growth and freedom. These motifs are central to how we become our true selves.
This is how we begin our journey toward our true identities. It’s autobiographical as well.
I put myself through some self-hating years as a young gay man — never feeling ‘good enough,’ not recognizing the positive qualities I had to offer, while inhibiting the development of my gay identity. I hope for a world where all people can be what they want to be. Life seems shorter every day; maybe this simple song can be of use to people who are struggling to find their
true selves.”

drummer Jon Wurster and bassist Jason Narducy…

Amplified Agony – BOB MOULD Shares ‘FORECAST OF RAIN’ – Second Track From Upcoming New LP…
New sonic impulses…
14 July 2020
Former Hüsker Dü/Sugar maestro BOB MOULD still burns with anger and agony as
you’ll hear on new single FORECAST OF RAIN, the second track he shares from his
new forthcoming album BLUE HEARTS.
Mould said about the religious inspiration for this song: “As a child, my mother took me to Sunday Mass. I’ve written many songs around religion. In the 2000s, I went back to the Catholic Church for three years – but I did not find my place. I recognize the importance of religion for those who believe: the worship, the rituals, the community; loving thy neighbor, following commandments, doing unto others as you would have them do unto you. In short, be nice to people, help however you can, and don’t steal stuff.”
