ROXY MUSIC In 5 Magazine Covers

British icons ROXY MUSIC were crème de la crème on the showy, flashy, glittery
glam rock scene with their first spectacular run between 1970 and 1976 with 4 terrific
longplayers. Their flamboyant, androgynous costumes and makeup were part of their
eye-popping identity.

Eccentric keyboardist/musical orchestrator Brian Eno, who looked like a sort
pop star from outer space left after 2LPs and started a remarkable career as a
producer (U2, David Byrne, Paul Simon, David Bowie, John Cale, and many more)
and a solo/collaborative artist.

A first reunion occurred between 1978 and 1983,
a 2nd one between 2001 and 2011, with 3 more
albums added to the first 4 ones.

The now 80-year-old Casanova frontman Bryan Ferry had
the most notable solo career of all RM members with 16 LPs.

Let’s have a look back at history with 5 magazine covers.

BRIAN ENO – Experimental Masterclass LP ‘ANOTHER GREEN WORLD’ Is 50 Today

14 November 2025

Former Roxy Music alien-like BRIAN ENO (now aged 77) became a sound
virtuoso over the years. So far he has released no less than 31 albums and
worked with tons of artists – Bowie, U2, David Byrne, Devo, John Cale and
many more – as their producer.

ANOTHER GREEN WORLD was his 3rd one. It came out today 50 years ago,
on 14 November 1975. It’s widely perceived as his masterclass LP.

At its release, it didn’t chart anywhere, the
public recognition and sales came later.

Pitchfork said in a retrospective 10/10 review: “Brian Eno has done everything from producing huge pop stars to creating tiny art installations to touring with rock bands
to inventing ambient music. ‘Another Green World’ remains his definitive album. ‘Another Green World‘ It’s not a happy record, nor is it sad. There are no demonstrations of personal triumph or failure, pain or elation, tension or release, desire or disappointment.

The most remarkable thing about the album is how a stoic Englishman who showed
no interest in the conventional expression of emotion managed to make something
that feels so intensely personal.”

Eno in an interview with NME back then: “I think I started about 35 pieces and some of ’em were real clutching at straws. But it’s interesting: Sometimes that kind of desperation gives rise to things that would never happen any other way.”

BRIAN ENO’s Huge Music Event ‘TOGETHER FOR PALESTINE’ On Wednesday 17 September Will Be Streamed On YouTube

16 September 2025

Former Roxy Music star and ambient master BRIAN ENO has set up a huge day
of music in London in support of the horribly suffering people of Palestine in the devastating war in Gaza. It features an impressive cast of artists (see poster above).

Comedian Guz Khan who will be the host says: “When you see kids in Gaza facing bombs instead of books, you realise this can’t be normalised. That silence isn’t an option. That’s why this concert matters. ‘Together For Palestine’ is about solidarity, love – and saying we see you, we stand with you. When I got the call asking me to host, it was a no-brainer. This is about using my platform to back justice, and reminding people that standing up for humanity is everyone’s job”

The full event will be streamed tomorrow, Wednesday, on YouTube.

BRIAN ENO And BEATIE WOLFE Enchant With 3 Beauties From Their 2 Upcoming Collaborative Albums

Daily electricity to load your batteries

11 May 2025

Former Roxy Music alien BRIAN ENO and songstress BEATIE WOLFE met for the first
time in 2022 at the SXSW festival. They met again while exhibiting visual and conceptual art pieces in London and began recording together early last year.

The result is not one, but two albums, named
Luminal and Lateral, both out on June 6th.

Eno/Wolfe: “Music is about making feelings happen. Some of those feelings are familiar,
while others may not be—or may be complex mixtures of several different feelings. There
are many beautiful words for such feelings in other languages and cultures—words that
don’t exist in English.

By giving a feeling a name, we make that feeling more likely to be felt, more tangible.
Art is able to trigger feelings, or feeling mixtures, that we’ve never quite felt before. In
this way, a piece of Art can become the ‘mother’ for a type of feeling, and a place you
can go to find and re-experience that feeling.”

Listen to the three atmospheric, enchanting and
musing beauties they shared recently (so far).

BRIAN ENO Shares New Ambient Album ‘AURUM’ Exclusively On Apple Music – Why Only There?

22 March 2025

Ambient music expert and former Roxy Music alien BRIAN ENO
offers, out of the blue, a new album, named AURUM exclusively
on Apple Music.

Why only there? Because you get a lot of money from Apple Musicc to do so,
so they can attract new paying subscribers? As much as I like Eno, a lot actually,
I can’t understand why he (and others too) makes a deal with a corporate money
greedy institution. Well, I suppose it’s what they call rock ‘n’ roll business.
