Daily noise that works faster than a stream of caffeine

Flamboyant young British sisters Nyrobi (20) and Chaya (17) Beckett-Messam,
artistically know as ALT BLK ERA are one of the latests hypes in the UK.

With their brand-new debut LP, titled Rave Mortal
they occupied the top spot of the Rock & Metal Chart
in England.

They’re being described as a genre-smashing duo redefining
music by fusing rock with alt Pop, DnB, rap and electronic
beats. Beyond the music, they advocate for hidden disability
awareness and inclusivity in the music industry, inspired by
Nyrobi’s personal journey – a key theme of Rave Immortal.

Many of us know that you need to be cautious with the British musical hyping media. That’s the case here too. Mind you ALT BLK ERA are new fresh wizz-kids but it’s not that they reinvented any sort of genre. Their robust hip-rock-pop sonority comes close to the buzzing rap-clatter of exciting female duo Nova Twins. And at times I could swear Skunk Anansie‘s Skin is the secret third member. Pretty impressive, but not innovating. Curious?

Okay, time for a fact check. COME FIGHT ME FOR IT,
one of the album’s frenzied highlights, will do the trick.
