Who: The creative musical vehicle of Gilbert Morin, a musician from the Montréal
area who draws his inspiration from postpunk, goth rock, darkwave and everything
with grooves, guitars and dark vibes. He released his debut EP Dead Parrot Sketch
last September.

A cover of infamous American metalheads Prong (1986–1997, 2002–present)

TUTV: Delprezton‘s take, turns the raw-metallic original (almost 25 million views
on Spotify) into a raw-metallic darkwavish dance juggernaut. From the get-go a
rotating disco beat carries this riff-mental roller coaster with an instant impact
on your limbs.

You can sway around your axis, headbang, pogo, and or jump up and down,
left and right, like a kangaroo on drugs when this big bang version tests the
flexibility of your speakers like Al Jourgenson‘s Ministry do it all the time. Sounds
like big fun, right? You betcha. Beware, don’t break your neck when you have
the intention to make a couple of saltos.

DEBBIE HARRY (Happy 78) And NICK CAVE Cover GUN CLUB Mastermind JEFFREY LEE PIERCE (Happy 65)

Last Wednesday the late Jeffrey Lee Pierce, the wayward mastermind of underrated
indie mavericks Gun Club from L.A. would have celebrated his 65th birthday. Today
glam pop-punk diva Debbie Harry turns 78. Born Angela Trimble July 1, 1945 in Miami.

And yesterday she and expert crooner Nick Cave shared their duet cover of JLP song
On The Other Side. A pearl he only played live for a while. I’m sure there’s a connection between all those facts.

Cypress Grove (British songwriter who played with JLP): “Jeffrey Lee Pierce only performed the song live a few times, faster in tempo before being transformed into an exquisite ballad with Cave on piano, me on guitar, synth by Warren Ellis and Guido Benigni on bass providing
a sensitive backdrop to Nick and Debbie’s unearthly vocal.”

Heart-and-Soul Touching.

The song will feature on a Jeffrey Lee Pierce tribute album titled The Task Has Overwhelmed Us coming in September. Many other big names are on it too, such
as the late Mark Lanegan, Lydia Lunch, Dave Gahan, the Coathangers, Jim Jarmusch
and more.

Michael Alden Hadreas aka PERFUME GENIUS has recorded four
songs performed live for Spotify’s series of Live At Electric Lady EPs
(stream below).

One track is a cover of a RADIOHEAD
song 4 MINUTE WARNING from their
2007 album In Rainbows.

Hadres has a similar vulnerable vocal
timbre as Thom Yorke, causing goosebumps.
