Hooky, former bassist of iconic bands Joy Division and New Order just presented
a new mini-documentary, titled The Peter Hook Signature Collection. It comes
ahead of an auction this week, which will see Hook selling memorabilia from across
his career, including a number of his own guitars and instruments.
In the docu, he also talks about his final show with New Order 15 years ago
in Argentina. After times of inflammable tension, the split was inevitable.
Peter Hook: “It was quite a Manc heavy gig that one in Argentina, strangely enough. 140-160,000 people, and one of the most miserable nights of my life. It’s one of those things that isn’t quantifiable about rock’n’roll. It’s how people on the outside can look, ‘Wow, he’s on stage in front of 160,000 people all going mad for his music’, and yet you’re as miserable as sin.”

Goth heroin CHELSEA WOLFE shared the short documentary about her 2019
tour following the release of her sixth, critically praised LP BIRTH OF VIOLENCE.
Wolfe: “It’s not my natural inclination to want cameras around when I’m in my head or doing vocal warmups before a show, or when I’m with friends or family backstage, but Bobby asked, and in the spirit of pushing myself to document that era of my musical life, I welcomed him along. Then, after the COVID-19 pandemic hit and I had to fly home from the European acoustic tour before I got to play a single show of it, I was so grateful that he had this footage and was putting it together. I wanted to share this documentary for that reason as well, for those who had tickets to cancelled shows (I love you!), and as a sort of wave goodbye to the time I spent focused on Birth Of Violence, as I’m now making plans for and in the headspace of the next new album.”
