London’s post-Gothic-punk minds BLACK DOLDRUMS with
key members Sophie Landers and Kevin Gibbard launched their
debut album release DEAD AWAKE a couple of weekes ago
(stream/buy below).

Turn Up The Volume said: The duo combines the haunting drive of the early
Joy Division days the swirling guitar psych-o-billy of Danish duo The Raveonettes
with the lights out, and . a couple of sonic tranquilizers to the mix ) that put your
confused mind to rest. Black Doldrums love the midnight hours and so should you.

One of the full-length’s highlights is Dreamcatcher. An impeccable post-punk trip with glimmering guitars trippin’ around an addictive melody and shadowy voices floating all over it.
