was fired back in 2020, released his first solo LP The Reckoning last
year and started to tour.

Last June he performed at the legendary Isle Of Wight.

Here’s a spectacular rendition of Kasabian‘s 2009 hit

KASABIAN On Fire At ROCK WERCHTER Last Week

Last year Leicester’s rock champs KASABIAN returned with their victorious
comeback LP The Alchemist’s Euphoria. The first without their inflammable
frontman Tom Meighan who left the band following mental and personal
problems.

Singer-songwriter Serge Pizzorno who sang on
Kasabian songs before is now the group’s full-time
vocalist.

A couple of weeks ago they dropped brand new single ALGORITHMS.
A feel-very-good, amplified pop lullaby with an oh-oh-oh sing-along chorus.

Last Friday I saw them at Rock Werchter playing a FAN-DANCE-TASTIC set for an euphoric crowd. It was weird for a big fan like me and many others to see them for the first time without Tom Meighan. But Pizzorno‘s non-stop, infectious jump-up-and-down performance was just staggering and we all embraced the new look Kasabian with open arms while getting on fire.

New striking strokes

5 May 2023

Artist: pMAD
Who: The moniker of post-punk, gothic rock artist Paul Dillon
from Portumna, Co. Galway in Ireland. He has been described as:
“If The Cult and The Mission had a child this is what it would sound like”.

New single: FIRE

It’s the second shared piece, following Down, from new upcoming album
I In Power. A collection of eight brand new original tracks. The album will
only be available as a Download or on CD until all the singles have been
released in 2024.

Album artwork

Fire starts slowly with ominous synths, but from the moment pMad‘s voice takes
over, the tension swells instantly and turns this Doomsday piece of forth and back
music, pushed by crashing electronics and nervous guitars, into a sonic warning
omen. More dark-waves from pMad, more dark clouds in the sky.

Key lines

Hate Hate Hate
just become the norm
Fire Fire Fire
All we do is mourn

You tell us a pack of lies
That it will be soon
That it will be soon
But when is that?
But when is that?

The Fire is rising
The Fire is rising
The Fire is rising rising
The flames are rising

Two years ago flamboyant frontman Tom Meighan left KASABIAN following personal problems. The announcement came via this statement from the band: “Tom Meighan is stepping down from Kasabian by mutual consent. Tom has struggled with personal issues that have affected his behavior for quite some time, and now wants to concentrate all his energies on getting his life back on track.”

But the Leicester group is back. New album The Alchemist’s Euphoria will see the day
of light on 5th August. The band’s songwriter Serge Pizzorno, who occasionally sang Kasabian songs in the past, is the new vocalist.

To celebrate their return, they already played some big festival
slots with more to come as well as an extensive indoor tour.

They’re on FIRE again as shown at this year’s
edition of the legendary Isle Of Wight.
