Unbridled Punkettes GHOST CAR Have Their New Truly Trash Single/Video ‘SELFISH, SPOILED’ Out

Daily electricity to load your batteries

29 September 2022

Band: GHOST CAR
Who: London-based international punk quartet. As activists for feminism
and members of the LGBTQ+ community, Ghost Car practice what they
preach, and aim to spread their mantra of inclusivity and equal rights as
loud as possible.

Debut album: TRULY TRASH
Release: 28 October 2022 via One Little Independent Records

Album artwork

“The album provides Ghost Car with a platform to rage against political injustices,
as their unified battle cries attack patriarchal inequality, homophobia, racism and
toxic relationships. ‘Truly Trash’ is a call to reclaim autonomy and to revolt against
the powers that uphold an archaic nationalist system.”

New single: SELFISH, SPOIIED CAR
The third piece from their forthcoming LP

TUTV: Oh my, I love these utterly cool punkettes. They sound unbridled,
they look unbridled and they have an unbridled video clip out for this new
single. References? Scottish 90s indie misfits BIS, The B-52‘s if they would
have been a punk band, and the glorious X-Ray Spex‘s day-glo swagger.

Bingo.

Watch/listen

Claudia Torán (video director): “The story behind the video is that dinner guests
played by the band represent ‘the system’ itself, (politicians, bourgeoisie, etc. portrayed
in an exaggerated, ironic, sarcastic way) whilst ‘enjoying’ what appears to be a lavish dinner party. With fake attitudes and ungrateful behaviour. They don’t want to face any problems or injustices. Only interested in their egos. It’s later revealed that the dinner party, like ‘the system’, is rotten. Nothing is what it appears to be. Everything is now chaotic and the characters destroy everything, transforming into crazed guests, challenging the camera, trying to get the message through “will you ever open your eyes?”

London’s Feminist Punkettes GHOST CAR Seduce With Sonic ‘SEX’

Daily electricity to load your batteries

22 July 2022

Band: GHOST CAR
Who: London-based international punk quartet. As activists for feminism
and members of the LGBTQ+ community, Ghost Car practice what they
preach, and aim to spread their mantra of inclusivity and equal rights as
loud as possible.

Debut album: TRULY TRASH
Release: 28 October 2022 via One Little Independent Records

“The album provides Ghost Car with a platform to rage against political injustices,
as their unified battle cries attack patriarchal inequality, homophobia, racism and
toxic relationships. ‘Truly Trash’ is a call to reclaim autonomy and to revolt against
the powers that uphold an archaic nationalist system.”

New single: SEX

“The track’s about having an interaction with someone once and thinking more of it than it actually was. Especially with social media, being able to see that person all the time, thinking you have a connection when really you just snogged them at a party once. It made us so happy to be a band formed by women from different parts of the world but with the same feelings and frustrations!”

Turn Up The Volume: Big brother is a 24/7 devil. He operates on social media
in a way you can not or you want not miss anything/anybody. Pretty shitty if you
ask me. On the other hand, the advantage is that the amazeballs Amazons of
Ghost Car wrote this fucktastic firecracker about it.

Sex is a straightforward punk jackhammer going everywhere fast with a hyperkinetic
organ vibe going slowly to an orgastic peak before the fervent finale sets in. Score!

Be smart, throw your phone out of the window and have some sonic sex.

Right here, right now.

London’s Female Engine GHOST CAR Speeds Up On New Single ‘AWKWARD’…

Daily fuel to load your sonic batteries…

20 August 2019

Band: GHOST CAR

Who: “An all female rock-riot girl type band, with sickly sweet voices mixed with haunting keyboard sounds and gritty punk guitars and bass. They’re like a mixture between an all female version of the Cramps and a more punk, grunge version of Tennis. Crazy, and dead nice too!”

Pick: AWKWARD – the band’s new and first single for Greenway Records

Score: This oiled London-based foursome speeds up like a Grand Prix race car on their
new flashing ripper. The way they merge pop catchiness and punk velocity will boost your adrenalin’s flow and make your head spin 360°. Their speedy harmonious vocals hit you sharp and clear and their guitars go nuts midway. They buzz and rush like the best. ‘Awkward‘ is an expeditious steamroller. Capture all the giddy commotion right here…
